    Overview:

    The Program Manager for California Jobs First plays a key role in advancing the mission and vision of the Inland Empire Labor Institute (IELI). On behalf of California Job’s First Regional Co-Convener Inland Empire Labor Institute, the Program Manager will lead California Job First meetings and initiatives, engage with community stakeholders, and collaborate with partners to implement and manage the Inland Empire High Road Transition Collaborative and Inclusive Planning Council. The Program Manager will organize, staff, and oversee meetings and events with various partners, including committees, subregional tables, and equity councils, and meet regularly with co-conveners at Inland Economic Growth & Opportunity (IEGO). This position reports to the Executive Director.

    California Jobs First (CJF): The Inland Empire Labor Institute and Inland Economic Growth & Opportunity (IEGO) are co-conveners for the Inland Empire CJF Table. IELI’s Program Manager will be responsible for maintaining CJF reporting requirements for IELI, communications, and outreach to participants. Duties will include the following:

    • Oversee day-to-day CJF operations, including planning and recording meetings, extensive email correspondence, and expense tracking/reporting
    • Manage communications with CJF partners and engage in outreach, particularly to labor unions, CBOs, and other stakeholders
    • Collaborate with regional CJF convener team on public relations, social media, and other joint communications
    • Prepare regular reports, including identifying relevant data gaps, timeline issues, etc. o Engage with California State interagency regional CJF staff
    • Supervision of any project interns (no more than two)

    IELI Administrative and Program Support: The Inland Empire Labor Institute supports a range of projects focused on sustainable logistics, high road training programs, and environmental, social, and economic justice. The Program Manager will support development and management of these projects as needed by:

    • Collaborating with grant writing and grant administration staff to develop funding applications, reports, etc
    • Assisting the executive director in team building, including staff hiring and attending regular meetings
    • Engaging in professional development opportunities within and outside the organization, and responsible for additional duties and projects as assigned to ensure all activities and duties support IELI’s mission, goals, and objectives.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree from four
    • year college or university required; master’s degree preferred
    • Experience and/or training in economic and workforce development, public affairs, and non-profits
    • Experience in communicating with diverse stakeholders in a professional context; bilingual English/Spanish preferred
    • Experience and/or training in MS Office, Google Workspace, Zoom, Canva, and major social media platforms
    • Experience in labor union organizing and familiarity with Inland Empire region preferred
