    Jubilee Women’s Center opened in the fall of 1983 and is believed to be Seattle’s first transitional home for women. Jubilee helps women experiencing poverty to build stable and fulfilling futures, one extraordinary woman at a time. Led by the guiding principle that women of all races and cultures are to be treated with respect and dignity, Jubilee provides programs and services that empower women to make positive life changes.     Position Purpose

    This position is responsible for helping Jubilee Women’s Center provide a healthy, safe, and thriving living environment for program participants. Reporting directly to the Program Director, the Program Coordinator primarily manages the Jubilee Boutique program, the Resident Assistant program, the co-op style house chore program, and administers the organization’s volunteer program. This position requires strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep commitment to the mission of empowering women experiencing poverty and homelessness.

    Full Time, non-exempt (base salary, overtime eligible)

    Base Salary Range (overtime eligible): $57,900 – 64,000 DOE

    Flexible work hours: 35 HPW minimum

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities

    Program Participant Support Services (20%)

    • Manage the Resident Assistant Program and support the RAs by providing training, monitoring their duties, and offering guidance. Meet with the RAs regularly to provide support and address any concerns. Recruit, interview, place, and train new RAs.
    • Create and maintain monthly and weekly participant chore calendars and monitor all execution of chores, addressing issues as they arise.
    • Responsible for move-in preparation for all incoming program participants, including auditing food/storage bins and keys, welcome baskets, and room prep.
    • Orient and support new participants, ensuring they learn house, programming, and chore procedures.
    • Orient and remind participants of proper food storage techniques within the community fridge and pantry area.
    • As needed, source community food for participants, retrieving and distributing the food.
    • Provide regular informal support and referral to participants on matters related to house relations and other needs.
    • Attend house meetings across all properties as part of the program team.
    • Other duties as assigned, to support the functioning of the houses.

    Free Clothing Boutique (40%)

    • Responsible for all aspects of boutique operations.
    • Process all clothing donations and oversee display and maintenance of the merchandise.
    • Collaborate with community organizations to share in-kind resources.
    • Ensure that the boutique runs as it should to ensure a positive experience for clients and volunteers.
    • Handle all complaints and requests associated with the boutique.
    • Onboard and train all volunteers working in the boutique.
    • Maintain thorough and updated volunteer records and generate monthly reports using Outcome Tracker.
    • Build and maintain relationships with partner organizations that use the boutique. Market the boutique to encourage more community awareness.
    • Support the fundraising team in raising awareness and support for the boutique, including a new annual fundraising event.

    Volunteer Program Coordinator Duties (30%)

    • Administer Jubilee’s volunteer program, including the front desk volunteer program.
    • Responsible for the scheduling, background checks, recruitment, and retention of Jubilee volunteers.
    • Manage new front desk volunteers' placement, orientation, and training.
    • Maintain the front desk to ensure it is in working order for volunteers and make improvements where necessary.
    • Monitor the
    • volunteer@jwcenter.org email for volunteer inquiries.
    • Provide on-site support for volunteer group events.

    Administrative Duties (10%)

    • Manages the organization’s daily mail and check processing.
    • When available, answer the front door in a professional manner and distribute donations to appropriate staff/locations.
    • Support general operations of the Jubilee offices, including sharing in responsibilities like, opening and closing the office, managing the daily flow of donations, and other administrative tasks.
    • Participate in weekly staff meetings.
    • Work to advance diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility at Jubilee.
    • Work collaboratively with all staff, continuously improving communication and transparency.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
    • Ability to organize and plan well.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including group activities with program participants.
    • Ability to work well under pressure; handle multiple time-sensitive tasks; strong organizational skills.
    • Commitment to excellence and continuous improvement in a rapidly changing environment.
    • Commitment to serving the needs of the Program Participants through the supportive programs provided.
    • Demonstrated ability to empathize and communicate with people of diverse backgrounds.
    • Sensitivity toward cultural, racial, ethnic, socioeconomics, and sexual identity diversity, as well as physical/mental health abilities.
    • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
    • Willing to embrace the mission and goals of Jubilee Women's Center.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Direct service working with low-income/homeless populations, two or more years preferred.
    • Direct experience managing services or small programs, one or more years preferred.
    • Associate's degree in a related field or relevant work experience, preferred.

    Valid driver's license, reliable, insured vehicle, and ability to use personal car, as needed.
