    Description

    The Lymphoma Research Foundation seeks a Senior Manager, Corporate Partnerships and Community Engagement, to join its Development Department. This position will report to the Director of Event Fundraising and work with development staff and volunteers across the country. The primary responsibility of this position is to generate charitable gift revenue for the Foundation through leadership and execution of fundraising events in target markets and lead the Foundation’s endurance program.

    The Lymphoma Research Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for lymphoma, the most common form of blood cancer, by funding biomedical research and supporting the next generation of lymphoma researchers. With the guidance of the Foundation’s prestigious Scientific Advisory Board (SAB), which is comprised of 45 of the world’s leading lymphoma experts, the Foundation invests in research and scientists which have the greatest potential to improve our understanding of lymphomas and lead to improved treatment options for patients. To date, the Foundation has funded more than $80 million in lymphoma-specific research.

    Through comprehensive disease guides and publications, in-person conferences, and online resources, the Foundation provides education for people with lymphoma, as well as their loved ones and caregivers. A robust suite of the Foundation patient services provides direct support to people who have received a lymphoma diagnosis. These services include the national Lymphoma Helpline, a Clinical Trials Information Service, Lymphoma Support Network, and patient aid grant program. An industry leader in digital communications, the Foundation maintains a strong presence on multiple social media platforms and has won national awards for its innovative use of social media to educate cancer patients. The Foundation developed a first of its kind mobile app for people with lymphoma which was recognized by Apple as one of the best medical apps in the country. The Foundation also provides continuing medical education programs designed to increase the knowledge, skills and performance of healthcare professionals who treat and care for people with lymphoma.

    About the Opportunity

    The ideal candidate will be organized and entrepreneurial, with the ability to take initiative, work autonomously, and act with accountability. This position is based in the Foundation’s New York City office; please note that the organization currently utilizes a flex schedule, and all New York based staff are required to work in the Foundation office weekly Tuesday-Thursday; staff may elect to work remotely Mondays and Fridays. The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000 annually.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Responsible for achieving budgeted corporate partnership revenue goals across event fundraising in target markets, including Minneapolis, Chicago, New York, Miami, and Washington, D.C.
    • Actively identify, cultivate and grow mutually beneficial relationships with existing and new corporate partners with an emphasis on non-pharmaceutical industry revenue, ensuring value delivery and high partner satisfaction.
    • Facilitate meetings and site visits for strategic partners to deepen mission commitment and connection.
    • Work with the Director of Event Fundraising and Marketing Department to co-create compelling marketing benefits and activations to ensure brand alignment.
    • Conduct industry-specific analysis to identify high-potential sectors and corporate prospects that align with the Lymphoma Research Foundation's mission, culture and goals and target CSR trends.
    • Develop, prioritize, and execute strategies in collaboration with the events team to engage corporate foundations and partners, leveraging data-driven insights to maximize revenue potential.
    • Create and deliver compelling presentations and proposals that communicate the Lymphoma Research Foundation's value and outline potential partnership opportunities.
    • Work alongside the Director of Event Fundraising and Chief Philanthropy Officer to contribute to multi-year revenue projections and ensure accurate revenue tracking reporting.
    • Responsible for managing all aspects of corporate partnerships, including oversight of solicitations, documentation, benefit activation, recognition, and year-round stewardship.
    • Identify, solicit, build, and maintain relationships with national and regional corporate teams to align initiatives with corporate objectives.
    • Other duties as appropriate and assigned.

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of corporate fundraising or directly related experience with demonstrated success in partnership development, solicitation, and stewardship.
    • Deep understanding of corporate sponsorships and partnership models, donor database management, and data informed development strategies
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Confident, goal-oriented, strategic self-starter able to work independently and collaboratively across internal and external partners.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, with experience collaborating with multiple teams and colleagues.
    • Willingness and ability to travel nationally and spend evenings and weekends at development events.
    • Proficiency in MS Office suite, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Adobe Suite, Word Press, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
    • Experience with Classy, HubSpot, and Raiser’s Edge.
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
    • Ability to carry/transport 25 lbs.
    • May be asked to travel domestically 40% of the year and work nights/weekends as needed.
