    ABOUT THE TEAM 🤝

    The Program Director will maintain close collaboration with agency leadership and services colleagues. The position involves opportunities to lead both strategically in designing and strengthening our training programs, and tactically to ensure systems are operating effectively and efficiently, and in accord with the agency’s core values. The Program Director will supervise and mentor a group of highly-skilled team members.

    IN THIS ROLE, YOU'LL: 📝

    Workforce Training and Learning:

    • Provide programmatic oversight to Knowledge Management’s Workforce Training program:
      • Supervise the members of the KM Training Team who oversee a variety of required trainings and professional development opportunities for our workforce as well as curriculum, resources and learning activities for the people we support.
      • Supervise KM’s Workforce Training and Curriculum Specialist who coordinates the workforce programs funded by an EARN Maryland grant and the work of the Maryland Direct Support Training Consortium.
      • Support the ongoing training of the iCM modules and our additional learning management systems and databases.
      • Manage agency requests for training and learning support
    • Regularly evaluate Knowledge Management’s workforce trainings, including training design, materials, and delivery (across both virtual and in-person formats). Provide guidance and support to performance improvement. This includes sharing research and best practices in adult education and innovative service delivery to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities
    • Co-facilitate the Decision Makers learning community of practice
    • Facilitate KM’s Trainers Community of Practice
    • Be a proactive and curious member of the SEEC community, regularly visiting and learning from our workforce and responding to career pathway opportunities to support their growth.
    • Be a resource for ongoing professional development opportunities external to SEEC
    • Complete certification for MANDT and CPR-First Aid so as to provide training capacity to the KM team.

    Knowledge Management Resources and Outcomes

    • With KM’s leadership team, develop and support department-wide goals and KPIs, as well as methods for tracking and reporting.
    • Serve as a member of the Program Directors community of practice to gather regular feedback on programmatic and training needs, information, and ideas. Initiate regular brainstorming sessions with KM Team in response to feedback and requests as part of the KM Trainers Community of Practice.

    Agency & External Responsibilities

    • Ensure all personnel-related and agency service-related documentation is completed to agency and state-wide standards and in a timely manner.
    • Act as a back-up to Department Director and assist with Departmental and Agency priorities as needed.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    ABOUT YOU 🥇

    • Requires a Bachelors degree.
    • Proven understanding of adult learning principles and record of designing, implementing, and evaluating workforce training/professional development.
    • Understanding of coaching and mentoring direct reports as opposed to top-down supervision.
    • Experience designing, implementing, and tracking programmatic goals and key performance indicators.
    • Experience managing budgets and sustaining quality assurance systems is a plus.
