We are seeking a passionate and experienced Development Manager to join our growing development team. In this new part-time role reporting to the Director of Marketing and Advancement, you will play a vital part in expanding our individual giving program, cultivating relationships with donors, and securing the resources we need to serve even more youth across the country. This is a hybrid role and applicant must be located in any Cake4Kids Chapter in Northern California.

    Job Summary

The Development Manager will manage and grow their own portfolio of individual donors and coordinate individual donor engagement with development staff. • Manage a portfolio of 350+ donors, with a focus on building relationships and increasing their giving by 25%
    • Identify and cultivate new donor prospects with the capacity to make significant contributions, with the objective of building a gift portfolio of ~150 donors with a $100K+ revenue target within 2 years
    • Manage and grow our mid-level and annual giving programs (typically individuals giving <$5K annually) to meet revenue targets
    • Partner with leadership and program staff to ensure donor engagement, through a strategic mix of meetings/calls, events, and personalized communications
    • Create compelling donor communications, including impact reports, emails, and letters
    • Work alongside your Bay Area Development teammates to implement regional fundraising and cultivation events, including our annual signature event, Cake4Kids Benefit
    • Cultivate relationships with corporate donors and prospects through personalized stewardship, the development of a robust giving pipeline, and the solicitation of donations and sponsorships, while managing the execution of benefits in collaboration with Marketing
    • Assist with grant proposals for smaller foundations and family foundations, as needed
