    Position Objective:

    The Program Director will plan, develop, manage and implement the NADAP Workforce Development Initiative program and provide supervision for the Vocational Case Management, Instructional and Employment services units to meet all program goals, services and milestones.

    Essential Functions:

    • Designs, updates and trains staff on program standards and procedures related to intake and assessment, vocational case management, creation of service plan, job preparation and employment services, job placement and retention follow up services.
    • Oversees the development, facilitation and/or coordination of staff development and training.
    • Determines policies and defines scope of services to be rendered within program.
    • Oversees the daily facilitation of program orientation for newly enrolled clients and ensures that it is interactive, informative and addresses all program requirements established.
    • Develops services tailored to meet the unique needs of Workforce Development Intiative clients.
    • Works collaboratively with staff to identify, design, and implement new initiatives.
    • Hires and trains staff, special project consultants and interns.
    • Identifies trends, develops and implements new operational systems to improve Nassau Workforce Development Initiative operations and reporting functions.
    • Develop systems and initiatives for specialized projects.
    • Performs Quality Assurance reviews on all data collection to ensure maximization of operational efficiency.
    • Establishes and maintains relationships with Nassau DSS, local treatment facilities, and other community-based organizations. Develops and maintains collaborative working relationships with referral partners to provide a smooth transition through all program activities.
    • Assists in the preparation and distribution of statistical and informational reports.
    • Performs other duties as assigned by NADAP’s senior leadership team.

    Educational Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree

    Skills and/or Experience Required:

    • Knowledge of data analysis
    • At least three years’ experience managing and evaluating staff in a related setting.
    • Excellent oral and written communications, organizational and computer skills.
    • Experience with performance based contracting and knowledge of workforce development are preferred.
    • Some prior professional experience working within a community-based organization or the government sector, directly serving an under-resourced population is required.
    • Experience working with public assistance population preferred.
    • Experience or familiarity with the disability population preferred.
    • Working in an automated on-line system, demonstrates proficiency in use of applied information technology and on-line database systems; demonstrated keyboarding speed proficiency and accuracy preferred for a paperless case management system.
    • Excellent organizational skills

    Salary: $90,000-$100,000

Program participants are job ready and have been personally affected by substance use.
