    Position Overview

    The National Grants Management Association is actively recruiting for a Manager of Partnerships and Operations to join our team. This role reports directly to the Director of Operations and Certification. It assumes responsibility for the selling and managing the contracts for the Corporate Alliance Partnership Program (CAPP), monthly and weekly accounting and organizational compliance projects, and other strategic project management. The main responsibilities include:

    Corporate Partnership Program/Sponsorships (35%)

    • Implement NGMA’s Strategic Framework regarding partnerships.
    • Administer NGMA’s Corporate Alliance Partnership Program (sponsorships), including on-boarding and off-boarding of members.
    • Create new and innovative ways to engage CAPP partners to drive revenue and position NGMA as the premier partner organization in the grants community.
    • Develop strong relationships with partner points of contact and oversee partnership agreement activation and renewals.
    • Oversee partnership agreement activation and renewals, track payments, and follow-up on outstanding invoices.
    • Coordinate the NGMA CAPP Expo at the Annual Grants Training.
    • Evaluate CAPP program success and develop plans for improvement.

    Operations (35%)

    • Works with the Director of Operations and partners to ensure financial and operational compliance with NGMA policies.
    • Manage weekly bill payment and monthly reconciliation in partnership with accounting firm.
    • Manages banking relationships and monitoring accounts for financial compliance.
    • Helps develop and monitor budgets.
    • Maintains files for the annual review/audit.
    • Manages cash flow to ensure fund availability; oversees day-to-day financial transitions; manages banking relationships and monitors bank accounts.
    • Assist in onboarding, procurement, and operational compliance, including insurance applications/audits, employee change forms, getting bids for services, contract filing, etc.

    Special Projects (30%)

    • Assists in project management of strategic projects, including implementation of new web site, learning management system, public relations campaigns.
    • Creates and edits presentations for Board and industry events.
    • Support attendance at industry tradeshows (approx. four per year).
    • Additional related responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director and the Director of Operations and Certification.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree.
    • A minimum of two years of experience working in association or nonprofit management.
    • Experience in vendor or sponsor management and/or basic accounting.
    • Experience in grants management and/or knowledge of the industry is a plus.
    • Strong written and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively both internally across departments and externally to achieve organizational goals in a professional and timely manner.
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks to ensure timely and accurate results.
    • Ability to travel out of state and overnight as needed (anticipated 2-4 times per year). Required attendance at annual meeting (March).
    • Have a team-player attitude and commitment.
    • Professionalism: Good judgment, ability to interact with all levels of staff, volunteers, and vendors, appropriate demeanor, confidence.
    • Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office 365 and CRM systems.
    • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
