POSITION OVERVIEW: Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Assistant Director is responsible for meeting the demands of the program while leading a team of case managers, and social workers that will meet the community needs, providing high quality services in accordance with regulations. The Assistant Director will also have a caseload of 20 clients, providing case management and assistance needs to individuals. In the absence of the Program Director, Assistant Director will assume the responsibilities of the position.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a at minimum a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field and be experienced working with a diverse population; 1 to 2 years’ experience in the health and human service field, including services in long-term services and supports, and supervision of staff. Knowledge of resource and benefit programs. Excellent organizational, communication, outreach, and advocacy skills and the ability to work as a team. Flexibility to work some evening hours and weekends. The Assistant Director must have proficiency in google suites, Microsoft office and the ability to build reports and analyze data. He/She/They must possess excellent time management, attention to detail, organizational and communication skills and maintain the integrity of the organization at all times.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bilingual Spanish or Cantonese
RESPONSIBILITIES:
WORKING CONDITIONS: Typical office setting that may require occasional travel between multiple sites consistent with a community center environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Frequently read printed materials and computer screens. Frequently operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
