    Due to expansion, Guardian Partners is hiring full-time for a Southern Oregon Monitoring Specialist II. A hybrid of in-person and remote [home] working opportunity, this position will lead volunteer management in the counties of Jackson, Josephine, Deschutes and Douglas Counties. Ideal candidates will reside in one of these counties.

    As well as contributing to all aspects of the program, the Monitoring Specialist II will lead volunteer recruitment within Southern Oregon, training and supervision of volunteers, community outreach and exposure, will table recruitment events/fairs, will develop a Southern Oregon resource list, and will maintain a portfolio of own guardianship cases to review.

    Flexibility with occasional travel to Southern Counties of Lane, Jackson, Josephine, Deschutes and Douglas (with eventual counties of Klamath, Coos, Curry, Lake, Harney, Jefferson and Crook) and to headquarter office in Multnomah County.

    MISSION: Guardian Partners trains Volunteer Monitors to review existing adult guardianship cases throughout Oregon as appointed by county Probate Courts. Our goal is to ensure that vulnerable populations are safe and being treated with the utmost dignity and respect. Volunteer Monitors interview Guardians, Professionals, and meet in-person with the adult under guardianship. Acting as the eyes and ears of the Court, volunteers complete a report with resources, recommendations, or court intervention as needed. Our Monitoring program is a critical part of Guardian Partners’ work preventing abuse and protecting adults with cognitive impairment, developmental disabilities, and the elderly. Our goal is to bring our court mandated education and our case monitoring program to every county in Oregon.

    Location: Hybrid of in-person engagement and remote work. Travel required to Jackson, Josephine, Deschutes and Douglas.

    Hours: 37.5 per week, flexible schedule

    JOB DUTIES:

    Volunteer recruitment for Southern counties served. Community outreach with attending volunteer fairs, events and recruitment opportunities. Manage online recruitment portals.

    Interview volunteers, complete federal/state required background checks, and classroom style training for volunteers.

    Continual supervision of volunteers with monitored case reviews, case debriefings, coaching and consultation with volunteers, and editing of volunteer court reports.

    Will maintain a portfolio of own monitor case reviews with a focus on volunteer shadowing for volunteers in training. Will interview Guardians, Professionals, and meet in-person with adults under guardianship as a case monitor. Will write reports for county Probate Courts.

    Collaboration with local/community service providers.

    Will develop a Southern County resource list utilized by volunteers designed for Guardians and adults under guardianship.

    Consistent volunteer continued education opportunities, socialization/events of appreciation.

    Contribute to all aspects of the organization.

    ESSENTIAL TASKS

    Competence professional documentation and accurate reporting/Court Report writing:

    Consult and report on guardianship cases to Monitor Program Manager weekly.

    Track and report on data related to case monitor program.

    Ensure the program is operating with best practices and Guardian Partners’ Statement of Values in mind.

    Work closely with Executive Director, Monitoring Program Manager, Monitoring Specialist 1, and community stakeholders to grow our programs with focus on efficiency and quality of service as well as expansion of Oregon counties.

    Provide occasional support with fundraising efforts and special events such as volunteer appreciations.

    Attend and support two annual fundraising events per year (in Multnomah County).

    Back-up Education Team as needed.

    Additional tasks as assigned.
