    As part of a growing, dynamic team, you will be instrumental in supporting the growth and development of programs in Irish Culture, Social Services, Senior Programs and Youth Development in a community setting. This role will lead all fundraising activities and external communications.

    Position Overview:

    The Fundraising Development and Communications Manager will oversee and support all fundraising activities and communications for the organization. This role will maintain and expand a diverse portfolio of funders, donors and fundraising initiatives in line with organizational budget, and ensure a mission focused, cohesive messaging strategy is maintained across all communication platforms. The successful applicant will collaborate closely with other committee and team members.

    He/she will be a skilled, experienced, passionate, and values-aligned fundraising professional with strong communications skills and excellent organization skills.

    Responsibilities:

    Fundraising & Development

    • Manage the grant cycle including the timely writing and submission of grant proposals, program budgets, impact reports, and ensure compliance with grant commitments.
    • Manage the growth and success of the Annual Aisling Fund Campaign
    • Oversee successful Fundraising Events in collaboration with the Events Officer, and Event Committees.
    • Work with event and program personnel to produce appropriate print and digital content in support of the organizations' initiatives and mission.
    • Oversee the management of Donor Database (Bloomerang) and Statistics logs.

    Communications

    • Hire and supervise Fundraising Development & Communications intern(s).
    • Ensure the timely planning, production and delivery of appropriate digital & print content on all media platforms to support grant requirements, fundraising initiatives, sponsorship commitments and relevant programs
    • Develop and cultivate relationships with funding sources.
    • Work with the Executive Director to maximize PR opportunities with up to date talking points and press releases and serve as an additional spokesperson for the organization.

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field and minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, development, and grants management.
    • Experience with digital communications, media relations, and donor cultivation.
    • Experience with NY State and local grant agencies and platforms.
    • Experience working with fundraising software, project management tools and CRMs.
    • Strong management and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to take initiative and drive projects forward independently.

    Preferred

    Experience raising funds and building relationships for small grassroots social service organizations in a community setting with an annual budget of up to $1 million.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Bloomerang or similar CRM, New York Statewide Financial System (SFS), Robly or similar digital marketing tool, social media platforms
    • Experience or understanding of Irish Culture and an interest in supporting the Irish diaspora in the Yonkers/Woodlawn area of New York.
