    Description

    Job Summary: The United Hospital Fund is a not-for-profit organization with an annual operating budget of approximately twelve million dollars. The Staff Accountant plays an integral role in maintaining the general ledger and supporting the monthly financial close process.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    Job Duties:

    • Record and process vendor payable transactions.
    • Prepare Intacct upload files for monthly bank reconciliation and reconcile minor bank accounts.
    • Prepare weekly bank activity (transfers, deposits, recurring payments, etc.) upload files.
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly analyses and reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
    • Prepare cash receipts for deposit
    • Assist annual 1099 reporting.
    • Support the preparation of Financial Statements and requests for annual audits.
    • Reconcile quarterly tax returns and W-2s.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
    • 0 - 2 years of accounting experience. Not-for-profit experience a plus.
    • Strong computer skills in MS Office environment. ERP knowledge, a plus.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills (written and oral).
    • Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
    • Able to work independently, flexible and self-motivated.
