Job Location:

The daily place of work for this position is Guatemala city, Guatemala. This position should be willing to work from any of our offices of operation at ROMP. Travel will be required periodically throughout the year to other countries of operation as needed.

Background:

The Range of Motion Project (ROMP) is an international nonprofit organization with the mission of ensuring access to high-quality prosthetic care for underserved people, improving their mobility and independence. ROMP provides prosthetic care and community-based rehabilitation to patients via permanent operations in Guatemala, Ecuador, and the United States.

Position Purpose:

The CPO is responsible for ensuring excellence across ROMP’s portfolio of programs. Specifically, they lead the Programs Department in 1) ensuring an effective flow of materials, information, volunteers, and grants to program operators and 2) evaluating the effectiveness of programs and advising program operators on continual improvement and growth.

Reporting Structure:

The CPO reports directly to the ED as a member of the ROMP Global Executive Team and works closely with program operators like the Guatemala and Ecuador Country Directors (CDs). The CPO is responsible for managing all Programs Department staff, including the Warehouse and Inventory Associate (WIA), the Monitoring & Evaluation and Grants Associate (MEGA), the Global Programs Assistant (GPA), and future additions.

Responsibilities for the CPO in 2025 include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Global Supply Chain: Oversight of all global supply chain activities. Specifically, component collection, ordering, storage, valorization, fulfilment, shipping, documentation, and quality management.
• Volunteer Programs: Oversight of all global volunteer programs. Specifically, volunteer recruitment, preparation, supply chain, marketing, coordination with the Guatemala and Ecuador branches, and quality management.
• Monitoring & Evaluation: Oversight of all data collection, analysis, and dissemination. Specifically, use outcome, quality, socioeconomic, and inventory sources for quarterly reports, research studies, grant applications, and grant reports.
• Information Systems: Oversight of all programmatic management information systems. Specifically, OpenMRS for patient information, InFlow for inventory information, CommCare for CBR case management information, and other future additions.
• Programmatic Grants: Oversight of all programmatic grants. Specifically, maintaining existing programmatic grants and targeting, writing, and managing new programmatic grants in support of the ED and the Guatemala and Ecuador CDs.
• Program Consulting: Thought leadership for all current and future ROMP programs. Specifically, advisory for the Guatemala and Ecuador CDs and training support to other operators, fundraisers, and directors.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Willingness to be based in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
• Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week).
• Willingness to work as an independent contractor.
• Willingness to work extraordinary days/hours, as required, throughout the year.
• Willingness to travel within Guatemala and to the United States, Ecuador, and other locations, as required, throughout the year.
• Valid passport and visa(s) (if applicable) to travel between countries of operations.
• Full professional proficiency in English/Spanish, written/spoken.

• Experience in volunteer/donor management.
• Experience in monitoring & evaluation.
• Experience in writing grants/reports.
• Experience in the nonprofit sector.

Start Date:

No sooner than 1 March 2025, no later than 30 June 2025.

Duration:

Permanent. The Job Title is expected to work a standard 40-hour week, although some overtime may be necessary to meet deadlines or attend evening and weekend meetings or events.
