Work to stop plastic pollution in our citizen outreach and field manager positions.
In our Philadelphia office, we're working to keep microplastics from entering our oceans and waterways. Most plastic products are made from tiny plastic pellets that cause big problems for our environment and health. The plastic industry dumps or spills millions of these pellets into our waterways each year, and they can take hundreds of years to degrade. These pellets are now the second largest source of marine microplastic. Companies shouldn’t be allowed to pollute our waterways with microplastic and that’s why we’re working to pass the Plastic Pellet Free Waters Act, which bans companies from dumping or spilling plastic pellets.
