    Request for Proposals (RFP)

    Friends of Mammoth Cave National Park (FOMC), a non-profit organization based in Central Kentucky, seeks proposals for scalable and flexible package of original branding and identity materials to be used in print and online.

    Most work may be done remotely and delivered electronically. It may be desirable for designer or agency representative(s) to attend occasional in-person meetings as required. Work may not be assigned to non-employees without approval from FOMC beforehand.

    Designer or agency will be expected to research FOMC audience and users in order to define user personas and best visual tools to reach them.

    • Considerations

    FOMC was founded in 2007 and has operated successfully for nearly two decades as the primary charitable fundraiser for Mammoth Cave National Park (MCNP). FOMC has a committed Board of Directors and Executive Director. FOMC has been successful raising an annual budget which subsidizes educational field trips within the park for school children.

    During 2025 FOMC plans to increase annual budget and fundraising goals substantially in order to fund new programming and large-scale projects at the park. New programming will include visual arts, performing arts, post-secondary education and specific projects and improvements aligned with MCNP’s strategic plan. A dynamic branding kit will allow us to reach new donors and prospective members worldwide while inspiring existing supporters to increase their giving and efforts on our behalf as we leverage our momentum and add to our list of successes.

    Branding materials will acknowledge Mammoth Cave’s legacy as an attraction, natural phenomenon and economic force while evoking a robust and promising future made possible by generous public support. Additional elements that should be represented include natural resource conservation, climate science, the cultures who made their homes here during pre-history and pre-national park, along with the uncommon assets and attributes of an enormous park that exists above ground and underground.

    • Deliverables

    Coordinate with The DeCesare Group to identify branding needs for mammothfriends.org and create and provide those tools.

    Logos | vertical, horizontal, insignia

    Create color palettes RGB & CMYK

    Create typography toolkit with complementary fonts for BANNER, HEADLINE, BODY, CAPTION, etc.

    Create template for electronic newsletter

    Create letterhead and stationery design

    Create illustrated templates for email marketing platform mailchimp

    Create illustrated templates for print collateral/small quantity mail; ie 6x9 color postcard/placard

    Create series of rack card brochures to be customized as new programs approach launch.

    • Proposal will be chosen based on combination of factors including quality of work, cost and proposed timeline.

    Submit proposals to chris@mammothfriends.org no later than February 28.

    Include contact information for three clients for whom designer/agency has provided similar work on similar scale.
