The mission of West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) is to “Serve West Point and the Long Gray Line.” WPAOG is both the alumni association and foundation for the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point. Our vision is to ensure the Long Gray Line remains the most highly connected alumni body in the world. USMA is renowned as the world's preeminent leadership development institution. The student body, or Corps of Cadets, numbers 4,400, and each year approximately 1,000 cadets graduate and are commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army.

The West Point Association of Graduates is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager that reports to the Director of Finance in the Finance Department. This position has direct responsibility for the recording and payment of expenditures and liabilities for the WPAOG, including West Point Athletics LLC, Real Estate LLC, and Hudson Valley Program LLC, vendors, and 100+ employees, totaling approximately $25+MM in annual expenses.

In this role, the Accounts Payable Manager works closely with all functional areas within the WPAOG as well as the Director of Finance, the Controller and the entire Finance team. This includes working with the Directorate of Academy Advancement as liaison between USMA and WPAOG for processing gifts to USMA. The successful applicant must be detail-oriented, have strong organizational skills and establish a working routine to handle all cash in and out in a timely manner and insure implementation and accuracy of daily activities.

A Bachelors or Associate’s degree in Accounting/Business and 3-5 years of experience is required. Experience in disbursements/accounts payable processing is preferred. The successful applicant must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and provide information and results accurately and in a timely fashion. Familiarity with Financial Edge, banking system software, purchasing cards and Concur is a plus. Experience in a non-profit environment is also preferred. The incumbent must have strong interpersonal, communication and computer skills including a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

The West Point Association of Graduates is located on the grounds of the Military Academy, and the alumni center is among the iconic venues at this national institution.
