    Fair Elections Center is looking to hire a full-time Human Resources Generalist. The Human Resources Generalist will assist in all areas of human resources including recruitment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, leave management, training, as well as assisting with implementing human resources policies, procedures, and programs. This position will report to the HR Manager.

    Responsibilities:

    • Administer all types of employee leave including FMLA, ADA accommodations, parental leave, short/long-term disability and other personal or medical leaves.
    • Assist in the recruitment and hiring process by posting job openings, screening applicants, contacting references, and making offers.
    • Maintain employee personnel files, ensuring documents are kept current, accurate and in compliance with organizational policies and legal regulations.
    • Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation and exit interviews, including entering data in the HR information system and auditing for accuracy and compliance.
    • Coordinate employee surveys and give actionable insights to improve employee experience.
    • Help organize training and other employee development initiatives.
    • Assist with all internal and external HR-related matters.
    • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
    • Assist with employee benefits management and presentations.
    • Undertake tasks around performance management.
    • Participate in the development and implementation of human resource policies.
    • Maintain and coordinate employee recognition programs.
    • Assist with employee engagement events.
    • Assist with employee relations issues.
    • Help ensure that all human resources functions comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
    • Work on other HR projects as needed.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources/related field plus 2 years of human resources experience or 4 years of human resources experience.
    • Experience administering employee leave programs (FMLA, ADA, etc.).
    • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
    • Knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
    • Good knowledge of employment/labor laws.
    • Superb computer literacy with capability in email, MS Office, and related HR software.
    • Excellent record-keeping skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Aptitude in problem-solving.
    • Efficient HR administration skills.
    • Remarkable organizational and conflict management skills.
    • Meticulous attention to detail.
    • Works comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
    • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

    Location and Compensation

    This is a full-time remote position but will require some travel to attend in-person meetings. Salary is $70,000 - $76,000, commensurate with experience.
