    Location: Tampa preferred, Florida mandatory

    Salary Range: $130-$140K

    Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

    Position Summary:

    The Managing Director, Brand Campaign will play a pivotal role in developing, leading, and executing a high-impact brand campaign that advances Live Wildly's mission to preserve a balance between ecology and economy in the State of Florida. This senior leadership position will oversee a variety of brand initiatives, from large-scale awareness campaigns to community-based activations, and will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all branding efforts align with the organization’s core values and objectives. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a creative innovator, and a proven leader with a deep understanding of Florida and nonprofit marketing.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Brand Strategy Development
      • Lead the execution of the organization’s overall brand strategy to increase visibility, awareness, and engagement in line with Live Wildly’s conservation and public engagement mission.
      • Define key messaging, positioning, and target audiences to ensure consistent and impactful communication across all platforms.
      • Collaborate with leadership to integrate brand strategy into organizational goals and influence both short- and long-term planning.
    2. Campaign Leadership
      • Oversee the conceptualization, planning, and execution of large-scale brand campaigns that raise awareness of protecting wild Florida for people and nature.
      • Drive the creative process for campaigns, from ideation to execution, ensuring they resonate with diverse audiences and inspire action.
      • Develop and manage campaign budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure efficient and effective delivery.
      • Monitor campaign performance and make data-driven recommendations to optimize future efforts.
    3. Brand Partnerships
      • Identify, pursue, and own (or identify the right owner) partnership relationships with academic, industry, and philanthropic partners that drive meaningful impact outcomes for all parties and wild Florida
      • Seek out opportunities to meet additional business or impact goals for our partners and craft tailored cultivation strategies to engage and inspire them to support our mission of a balanced and resilient Florida.
    4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
      • Work closely with conservation science, communications, storytelling and advocacy to ensure alignment across all channels and initiatives.
      • Foster collaboration with external partners, agencies, and influencers to amplify campaign reach and impact.
      • Lead the digital marketing/creative team in integrating social media, email, and web strategies into campaign execution.
    5. Leadership and Team Management
      • Lead and mentor a team of marketing and communications professionals, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
      • Build a culture of creativity, accountability, and excellence within the brand team.
      • Ensure team deliverables are met on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
    6. Advocacy and Public Relations
      • Serve as a key spokesperson for the organization’s brand, advocating for general public inspiration, education and activation of and for wild Florida.
      • Cultivate relationships with journalists, media outlets, and influencers to garner positive media coverage and elevate the organization’s profile.
      • Ensure that all communications align with the nonprofit's core values and environmental priorities.
    7. Data and Reporting
      • Develop and maintain performance metrics to measure the success of brand campaigns and assess impact.
      • Regularly report on brand health, campaign results, and insights to leadership and stakeholders.
      • Utilize analytics and audience feedback to continuously improve messaging and campaign strategies.

    Qualifications:

    Education & Experience:

      • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
      • 8-10 years of experience in brand management, marketing, or communications, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
      • Experience working in or with nonprofit organizations, especially in the environmental or sustainability sectors, is highly preferred.

    Skills & Competencies:

      • Deep understanding of branding, campaign development, and integrated marketing communications.
      • Exceptional leadership, team-building, and mentoring skills.
      • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-faceted campaigns from start to finish.
      • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
      • Experience working with digital platforms, social media, and modern communication technologies.
      • Strong project management skills with a results-driven approach.

    Travel and Work Flexibility:

      • Ability to travel locally and occasionally nationally to attend meetings, site visits, and events.
      • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends, as required by program needs.
