    Established in 2016, is a Texas-based STEM equity and workforce development nonprofit with a mission to dramatically increase the number of minority and low-income high school students who enter and excel in STEM undergraduate majors and careers. By 2030, Code2College endeavors to make high school internships in the Tech industry standard. Through its scaled model, Code2College aims to place 2,000 high school students into paid Tech internships in 2026 alone, setting them on a life-changing trajectory in STEM fields.

    Code2College is dramatically increasing the number of minority and low-income high school students who enter and excel in STEM undergraduate majors and careers. Code2College is looking to hire a Vice President of Programming to support its mission.

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    As the Vice President of Programming at Code2College, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the vision and strategy for our national programming efforts. Collaborating closely with senior leadership, you will drive the growth and impact of our coding education, mentorship, and paid internship initiatives, which are at the core of what we do. At Code2College, we support High School Programming, which equips students with technical, professional, and leadership skills, and our College Programming & Alumni Engagement, which provides ongoing support and career pathways for alumni.

    As a founding VP, you'll lead with an entrepreneurial spirit, guiding your team toward programmatic goals while fostering a culture of excellence. In this role, you will directly guide how we grow impact by connecting students with industry professionals for mentorship, networking, and career exploration in STEM fields. This role is ideal for a results-driven leader with a strong background in instructional design, program development, and team management.     KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Team Management and Leadership

    • Lead, manage, and coach Directors of Programming (High School and Undergraduate) to ensure Code2College’s programs, including coding education, mentorship, and paid internships, are high-quality, student-centered, and effectively attracting, engaging, and retaining participants.
    • Oversee staff responsible for direct programming with students and volunteer instructors.
    • Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, contributing to high-level strategy, organizational decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration to drive Code2College’s mission forward.

    Program Management

    • Oversee the design and delivery of rigorous, industry-aligned coding instruction, ensuring students gain hands-on technical skills that prepare them for internships and future STEM careers.
    • Lead initiatives that connect students with industry professionals for mentorship, networking, and career exploration, fostering long-term success in STEM fields.
    • Utilize program performance data and student feedback to refine curricula, enhance student engagement, and ensure continuous improvement across all program offerings.
    • Oversee performance observation and feedback models to drive instructional competence and effectiveness.

    Program Growth

    • Strengthening and scaling programs in existing and new geographic locations through building partnerships with local schools, companies, and community organizations to increase student participation and internship placements.
    • Lead efforts to create, test, and scale new student acquisition strategies beyond direct school partnerships to drive sustained student growth.
    • Identify and develop viable student acquisition channels to reach and onboard 8,000 - 10,000 new students over the next two years, with at least 4,000 students in Year 1.
    • Develop systems and content to support organizational scaling and operational efficiency.

    Requirements

    • 10+ years of leadership experience in education, which includes leading instructional and/or organizational initiatives across multiple schools, buildings, or sites.
    • Over two years of teaching experience (preferred)
    • Experience developing and implementing strategies to grow student enrollment, expand program reach, or increase student engagement across multiple sites.
    • Strong project management and time management skills.
    • High level of comfort taking and implementing frequent feedback to improve the work.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with a diversity of demographic and cultural backgrounds while maintaining an inclusive, collaborative leadership style.
    • Passion to work at a minority-led organization focused on serving underrepresented minorities.
    • Ability to travel up to 30%.
    • Spanish language proficiency is a plus.

    Compensación

    Code2College offers a competitive salary for this role. The full salary range for this role is $140,000 - $180,000. Typically, new hires are brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and midpoint, depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role. We offer a comprehensive benefits package for all full-time employees, including medical, dental, and vision plans.
