Early Childhood Head

Abraham Joshua Heschel School seeks to hire an Early Childhood Head to begin in the 2025-2026 school year.

The Early Childhood Head will oversee the Early Childhood Division, which includes Nursery, Pre-K, and Kindergarten. The Early Childhood Head reports to the Head of School and serves as a key member of Heschel’s Administrative Team.

Responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the Early Childhood Division’s program, curriculum, activities, budget, and communications;
• Supervising, training, and mentoring Early Childhood faculty and staff;
• Crafting professional development and growth opportunities for Early Childhood faculty and staff;
• Working with Admissions Co-Directors on Early Childhood admissions;
• Communicating with and supporting Early Childhood families;
• Partnering with other members of the Administrative Team on school-wide initiatives and programs.

Qualifications:

• Proven leadership experience in an early childhood education setting;
• Advanced degree in Early Childhood education or a related field;
• Experience with Article 43 compliance;
• Classroom teaching experience is preferred.

The salary range for this position is $175,000 - $225,000
