Compensation in the $75,000 to $90,000 range, with Benefits

Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites (www.historicbethlehem.org) manages 20 historic sites, 5 of which make up the newest World Heritage Site in the US. The organization is solid and working on enhancing the visitor experience, increasing visibility and visitations and improving the financial health of the organization.

The incumbent, who has performed at a high level, is retiring and moving out of the area.

The individual who is hired will lead the finance function, attend the executive committee meetings. on occasion the board meetings, and support the organization mission. This individual will have 1 direct report.

To be considered, a candidate must have at least 8-10 years of experience. Backgrounds which include quantifiable accomplishments (faster closes, recommendations that help reduce costs, and improve impact of donations.) will get serious consideration.

Backgrounds which include both larger company and smaller to middle-sized company experience are desired. Not-for-profit experience is NOT required, but helpful.

The individual who is hired must be organized, self-driven, and able to set and meet reasonable deadlines that have been agreed upon. He/she is expected to be a team player who is friendly but professional in his (or her) dealings with individuals whether they work inside the company or work elsewhere.

The organization has an excellent track record of keeping quality employees for the long term but is only considering local candidates and NOT offering relocation assistance.
