About the Menopause Project
The primary goal of the Menopause Project is to provide specialized, holistic care for women experiencing incarceration in the perimenopause and menopause life stages to reduce adverse short- and long-term health outcomes incurred by untreated symptoms. Higher rates of specialized care for women during these health stages results in lower overall lifetime health costs for the patient and improved mental and physical health.
What You Will Do
The Menopause Project includes a 1-year long pilot designed to address an education and training gap within California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS). The pilot will engage stakeholders and participants at the Central California Women’s Facility (CCWF) and the California Institution for Women (CIW) (and – down the road – potentially other states’ departments of corrections). The Program Analyst will collaborate with the Menopause Project Director and CCHCS stakeholders to provide support in the following areas:
Work Schedule and Location
This is a part-time contract position, anticipated to begin immediately and continue through at least August 2025. The Program Analyst is expected to work approximately 5-15 hours per week and should be adaptable to meet both internal and external deadlines. As the Menopause pilot transitions fully into implementation, there may be an opportunity to expand this role into a full-time or longer-term position. This position is primarily remote, with occasional in-person meetings at the Impact Justice office in Oakland, CA, and at prison facilities as needed.
