    Position Summary: Children’s Aid’s Enhanced Family Foster Care (EFFC) program is prepared to deal with the widest range of child welfare situations—from temporary situations that allow birth families to address issues until they can be reunited, to specialized homes with highly trained foster parents for children who need constant care for chronic medical and developmental conditions, or children reacting to trauma.

    This is an entry-level Social Work role supporting our Enhanced Family Foster Care Program(s), reporting to the designated Social Work Supervisor.

    Essential Duties:

    • Understand and promote the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values to ensure alignment with organizational policies and procedures.
    • Work with a dynamic team of professionals in a progressive Enhanced Family Foster Care program.
    • Supervise and document family visits.
    • Assist in handling service referrals for children and families.
    • Escort children and parents to appointments.
    • Complete filing.
    • Attend case reviews.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED minimum requirement—College degree preferred.
    • Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.

    Key Competencies:

    • Strong desire to work with children and families.
    • Knowledge of the New York City child welfare system a plus.
    • Excellent verbal, writing, and organizational skills.
    • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; Flexible work schedule, as needed.
    • Basic computer literacy.
