    Position: Director of Operations

    Reports To: Executive Director

    FLSA Status: Exempt

    Overview: Join our dynamic team as the Deputy Director to lead and manage the operations of our non-profit organization. You will manage Human Resources, finance, contracts, outreach, customer service, and strategic planning, while supporting the Executive Director.

    The Community Health Worker Coalition for Migrants and Refugees (CHWCMR) has been empowering and supporting migrants and refugees across Washington State for over 10 years. Our mission is to increase the capacity and competencies of Community Health Workers (CHWs) and Community Champions to meet the needs of their underserved communities. We achieve this by creating sustainable opportunities, implementing innovative solutions, and cultivating productive partnerships. Our vision is to achieve health equity, social, and environmental justice in the communities we serve.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Human Resources: Lead recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
    • Finance: Manage financial planning, budgeting, and reporting.
    • Contracts: Manage grant contracts and maintain relationships with key partners.
    • Outreach: Develop and implement strategies to enhance our visibility and impact.
    • Customer Service: Ensure high-quality experience for community members, community health workers, donors, and funders.

    Strategic Planning:

    • Collaborate with the Executive Director and Board to execute the strategic plan.
    • Drive operational and financial performance.
    • Set and achieve ambitious goals for growth.

    Leadership:

    • Provide mission-aligned leadership.
    • Foster open communication and delegate tasks effectively.
    • Promote a positive team environment and support team development.

    Compliance and Risk Management: Serve as the Compliance Officer and Develop and oversee risk mitigation plans.

    Board of Directors: Participate in Board meetings and provide updates on performance and initiatives.

    Work Arrangement: This role requires in-office work to ensure effective team collaboration and productivity. Hybrid remote work is an option if it does not impact performance or team engagement. Specific remote work arrangements can be discussed and approved by the Executive Director.

    Qualifications:

    • Required:
      • Bachelor’s degree
      • 5 years of operational and financial management experience.
      • 3 years’ experience supervising a team
      • Strong business acumen and presentation skills.
      • Prior non-profit experience.
    • Preferred:
      • MBA, MHA, or MPH.
      • Effective written and communication skills in English.
      • Bilingual Spanish/English.
      • Experience working with BIPOC communities.
