Position: Manager – Workforce Development Programs
Focus: Program Facilitator and Community Partner Engagement

The mission of Dress for Success Atlanta is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. Founded in 1997 Dress for Success Atlanta provides a full spectrum of workforce and career advancement assistance for no and low – income women seeking employment as a means to achieve upward economic mobility and strengthen their families. Dress for Success Atlanta is an affiliate of Dress for Success Worldwide, a global workforce development organization with more than 125 affiliates in 22 countries.
Position Description
The Manager of the Workforce Development Program is responsible for strategic planning, overseeing, and executing select program activities within Dress for Success Atlanta. This position provides vision and growth opportunities for client-facing programs. This position leads the cultivation, selection, expansion, and collaboration efforts with Community Partners. Program responsibilities will be assessed and distributed across the team as needs change. This position works closely with the Executive Director and the Dress for Success Atlanta team to enhance and expand services and programming and client and partner engagement.
Partnerships and Community Engagement:
- Establish and cultivate strong relationships with community partners across the greater Atlanta metropolitan area. Ensures corporate partners are well engaged before, and after client-facing volunteer and hiring opportunities.
- Identifies and recruits new community partners through community outreach, one-on-one meetings, and participation in community events.
- Represent Dress for Success Atlanta in the community and build relationships which may include creating and facilitating community-oriented program delivery.
- Partners with other non-profits to identify and leverage opportunities for collaboration and resource sharing.
- Builds trusting relationships with clients, volunteers, and partners to serve as a liaison between audiences and to increase client engagement and utilization of services.
Workforce Development Programs:
- Manage daily logistics of classes and clients along with our Professional Women’s Group (job retention program), and 1:1 coaching service, to include planning, scheduling appointments, and client follow up. Coordinate and schedule corporate volunteers as needed to help with program services.
- Expand workforce development programs by creating new initiatives and opportunities to support and connect women to services. Leverage partnerships to bring services that support growing industries in the region.
- Create curriculum, work with content knowledge expert volunteers, facilitate, and evaluate PWG. Support other Workforce Development programs as needed.
- Recruit, engage, facilitate, and manage the corporate volunteer efforts in support of workforce development programs (not including the Suiting Program).
- Record client and volunteer data in Salesforce; generate monthly and annual reports, including responses for DFSWW annual survey in conjunction with the Director of Operations.
- Create programs and services marketing materials for distribution to clients and referral agency partners. Support the DFS Atlanta team in developing marketing and communication materials for use in newsletters, social media, website, and all relevant vehicles of communications.
- Schedule and contact onboarding and training (internal and external content) for new and existing volunteers as it relates to specific program execution.
Talent Pipelines:
- Work with the Executive Director, and Dress for Success Atlanta team to identify and cultivate relationships with corporate partners to establish talent pipelines for clients.
- Create program structures and engage content experts to establish track-based learning opportunities that meet corporate partner hiring needs.
- Assess and report on workforce development trends and opportunities in the Atlanta market.
- Record, track, and manage volunteer activity for prospective and active individual and group volunteers.
Qualifications And Experience Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree and/or minimum of five years’ experience in the area of workforce development and community resources corporate training
- High proficiency in Microsoft 365 Office suite, Excel, PowerPoint, Constant Contact and Canva and Salesforce
- Willingness to learn additional platforms/resources such as Salesforce and other analytic technologies
- Knowledge of major employers and industries in the Atlanta region
- Relevant work experience that indicates a solid understanding of project management, technology, and community resources
- Strong planning skills with an ability to manage multiple time sensitive projects and respond to changing priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to leverage resources
- Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality
- Demonstrated ability to make suggestion on program delivery and workflow for efficiency and effectiveness
- Frontline trusted individual that has in-depth knowledge and understanding of the women and community served
- Knowledge of the social determinants of health that impact clients and underserved communities in order to provide information and volunteer training/awareness on related topics
- Knowledge of economic and workforce development goals, initiatives, and resources
- Works well and connects with other groups of people to cultivate relationships.

Work Schedule: Exempt position, standard schedule Monday-Friday hours with flexibility required for periodic evening and weekend coverage.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this role is $60,000 to $70,000 commiserate with experience
