    About CPR:

    Established in 1977, CPR is an independent nonprofit organization that promotes the prevention and resolution of conflict to better enable the pursuit of purpose through the CPR Institute and its subsidiary, CPR Dispute Resolution Services LLC.

    The CPR Institute builds capacity for dispute prevention and resolution through the thought leadership of its diverse members – companies, leading mediators and arbitrators, law firms, individual practitioners, and academics – who share best practices and develop innovative tools for dispute management through committee discussions and projects, publications, education and training, and hosting events.

    CPR Dispute Resolution is a responsive, user-focused provider of dispute management services – arbitration, mediation, custom appointing services, a panel of dispute prevention specialists, and more - that leverages resources generated by the CPR Institute. The case administrators are responsive, efficient, and detail oriented, and have extensive backgrounds in alternative dispute resolution (ADR). The Panel of Distinguished Neutrals is a carefully curated, diverse group of prominent, experienced subject matter and ADR professionals on over 30 specialty panels. And CPR Dispute Resolution’s Complete Case platform, a holistic end-to-end digital environment designed for ADR, handles matters efficiently and securely.     Position Overview:

    This is a key position for an established legal non-profit focused on dispute prevention and resolution in the international business community. The incumbent will be responsible for creating, implementing, and overseeing a broad range of marketing and communications programs that effectively describe and promote the organization, its services, and its products.

    The Director of Marketing and Communications will collaborate across the entire organization and with external partners to drive the growth of both the CPR Institute and CPR Dispute Resolution. This role is an important contributor to the success of major events, such as the annual conference and the fundraising gala, as well as recurring meetings and local and regional events.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

    • Working at both the strategic and tactical level, develops, coordinates and implements the branding, design, marketing and communication of programs, membership initiatives, events, resources, and publications.
    • Develops and implements the marketing plan for CPR Dispute Resolution in partnership with the Vice President of CPR Dispute Resolution.
    • Collaborates with the Director of Membership to develop, implement, and communicate membership benefits that deliver on the membership value proposition.
    • Serves as media relations lead for the organization and writes and disseminates press releases to maximize earned media.
    • Plans and oversees implementation of email marketing and social media strategies, including the timely publication of the organization's flagship every-other-week email newsletter.
    • Oversees two websites, ensuring correct and current content, including articles, press releases, events and other important information.
    • Produces annual report each year through collaboration with co-workers and external graphic designer.

    Skills and Requirements:

    • Creative, entrepreneurial, detail-oriented contributor with analytical thinking and a continuous improvement mindset.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Tech savvy, professional, and independent problem solver.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), Zoom, and other software platforms as required.
    • Organized and able to multi-task and prioritize in order to successfully work with multiple internal clients.
    • Experience in collaborating successfully with both internal staff and external creative partners and suppliers to produce excellent work on time and within budget.
    • 5-8 years' experience in marketing and communications; prior legal/alternative dispute resolution experience a plus but not required.
    • Familiarity with social media platforms, website content platforms, event management systems, and Google Analytics.
    • Bachelor’s degree required.

    Other Information:

    CPR’s work hours are 9:30 am – 5:30 pm (ET), Monday through Friday. Evening and/or weekend work is rare but may occur during 2-3 peak time periods each year.

    This is a hybrid position, and incumbents will be expected to be present at our Manhattan office at least 1-2 times per week. CPR will provide a laptop for business use.

    This role has one direct report, the Digital Marketing Manager.

    If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and CPR reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, CPR or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

    Compensación

    The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $90,000 and $100,000 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors which may include but are not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including discretionary bonuses in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, financial and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, summer Fridays, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment.
