    Position Summary

    Reporting to the Executive Director, the Senior Program Director will be responsible for the operational success of Exhale to Inhale ensuring seamless team management and development, program delivery, fiscal management and quality control and evaluation. The Senior Program Director supervises the Director of Community Partnerships, Director of Curriculum Development and Mentorship, and Training Team.

    The Senior Program Director (SPD) is a key member of the senior leadership team. The SPD works closely with the Executive Director and Programs Team to articulate and carry out the strategic vision of the organization and ensures that partners, clients and teachers have access to ETI’s programs and achieve organizational goals.

    The SPD serves as a supervisor and coach, and is comfortable with and committed to fostering the development of staff. The ideal candidate is an experienced project manager and is looking for an opportunity to guide community-based work in a growing organization.

    Responsibilities

    Management and Administration

    • Develop, implement and manage effective internal operational systems for all programs
    • Foster a team-oriented, supportive, accountable work environment ETI
    • Ensure effective roll out, implementation, and evaluation of new programs and initiatives
    • Contribute to grant writing and reporting process
    • Present programmatic elements in a compelling manner to prospective funders and other supporters
    • Oversee program budgets and support program staff towards alignment with budget
    • Recruit and hire new staff members in keeping ETI’s priorities
    • Collaborate with senior leadership team to implement special projects aimed at increasing program and organizational capacity

    Program Management

    • Oversee partnerships development, technology, and community outreach work
    • Oversee implementation of strategy for all programs and services
    • Lead staff in long-term program planning
    • Work with the team to develop and evaluate program strategies and goals
    • Assist with the administration of program implementation by effectively delegating tasks and providing necessary support.
    • Provide hands-on supervision and coaching for staff, guiding them in their roles and helping them grow professionally.
    • Analyze internal reports to evaluate program effectiveness using an outcomes-based approach and anticipate and effectively respond to changing client needs

    External Relations and Collaboration

    • Manage ETI’s Training program, Partners-Classes Program and Public Programs. ensuring they are accessible and impactful.
    • Collaborate with the Executive Director to oversee ETI’s corporate program development
    • Coordinate with the grant writer to support the creation of compelling proposals and meet reporting requirements.
    • Work with external partners and organizations to further ETI’s mission through collaborative programming
    • Represent ETI at events, community gatherings, or workshops and trainings, actively promoting our work and building connections.

    • Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with a wide variety of constituents including, clients, partners, health and human service professionals, community leaders, teachers and board members
    • Ability to manage and balance multiple projects
    • Strategic thinker and leader with track record of achieving organizational objectives
    • Able to make decisions or intervene in difficult or complex situations and resolve problems as they arise
    • Demonstrated commitment to an interdisciplinary, collaborative team approach to work
    • Passion for supporting the organization’s mission and for maintaining programmatic excellence
    • Demonstrates energy, enthusiasm and interest in advancing within a growing organization

    Experience and Qualifications

    • Master’s degree in public administration, education, social work or related field
    • 10-15 years of progressive experience with non-profits, philanthropy and corporate sector and demonstrated professional growth in successive positions.
    • Experienced in program development, management and implementation

    Compensation:

    • This is a full-time, exempt position with a starting salary of $65,000 per year.
    • Applications accepted from individuals residing in NY or NJ, with willingness to participate and attend events, meetings and co-working in Manhattan.
