    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Community Lending Fellow to join our Cash Flow Loan team for an 18-month fellowship. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial services, focusing on risk assessment, loan evaluation, and client interaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, fluency in Spanish, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Financial Analysis and Risk Assessment

    • Review and analyze budgets, audited financial statements, and Form 990s.
    • Assess financial health and risks associated with loan applications.
    • Prepare detailed reports to support loan decision-making processes.

    Loan Evaluation and Management

    • Collaborate with team members to evaluate and process loan applications.
    • Assist in developing risk mitigation strategies for approved loans.
    • Monitor loan performance and address client inquiries as needed.

    Client Relations

    • Provide excellent customer service to Spanish-speaking clients.
    • Communicate complex financial concepts clearly and effectively.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

    Other

    • Contribute to special projects and organizational initiatives

    Qualifications:

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.

    Experience:

    • Previous experience in financial analysis, risk assessment, or loan processing.
    • Familiarity with reviewing and interpreting budgets, audited financials, and Form 990s.

    Language Skills:

    • Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken) is required.

    Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Familiarity with financial software and loan databases is a plus.

    Interpersonal Skills:

    • Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    Compensation:

    The salary range for this position ranges from $70,000-$80,000 and is commensurate with experience. Please note that applicants should expect to fall in the middle of this range.
