Impact Teen Drivers is seeking a dynamic DC-based Education Outreach Manager (EOM) to join our team. The DC EOM can be located anywhere within the District of Columbia. As a national leader in traffic safety education, Impact Teen Drivers is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to developing, promoting, and facilitating evidence-based education to prevent the number one unintentional cause of serious injury and death for young people—car crashes, especially those resulting from reckless and distracted driving. We aim to transform the culture of shared roadway responsibility, fostering distraction-free habits that will save lives for generations to come.

The DC Education Outreach Manager will play a key role in engaging champions of safe driving and shared roadway responsibility throughout the District. This position requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently, manage their own schedule, and travel frequently across DC. From health teachers and public health professionals to first responders and school resource officers, the successful candidate will develop strategies to build relationships with individuals who engage with young people and parent audiences. We are looking for a professional with integrity and a strong passion for addressing the critical public health crisis of reckless and distracted driving.

    Responsibilities:

    • Represent Impact Teen Drivers across the District of Columbia
    • Work independently to manage presentations and outreach activities, while coordinating with the national team
    • Master the facilitation of Impact Teen Drivers’ evidence-based curricula to present in-person and via webinar to audiences of all ages, from young children to teens, and beyond
    • Present to diverse audiences in classrooms, school assemblies, and community event settings
    • Build strong collaborative relationships with DC first responders, health professionals, educators, and others to expand Impact Teen Drivers’ community outreach
    • Explore innovative strategies to identify and engage new partners in DC
    • Facilitate Train the Trainers presentations for first responders, educators, and health professionals to empower them to deliver Impact Teen Drivers’ programs in their communities
    • Schedule programs, presentations (both in-person and virtual), and community events across the District
    • Represent Impact Teen Drivers at community outreach and tabling events
    • Manage the planning, tracking, and evaluation of all scheduled presentations
    • Serve on relevant coalitions and committees specific to the District of Columbia

    Qualifications and Expectations:

    • Ability to work independently, manage your own schedule, and prioritize tasks effectively
    • Willingness and availability to travel frequently throughout the District of Columbia as needed
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort with small and large group facilitation
    • Experience working with young people, including teens, in an educational setting
    • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, with preference for a graduate degree
    • Reliable transportation and a clean driving record
    • Experience in community outreach, advocacy, marketing, or event planning is strongly preferred
    • Flexibility to be located anywhere within the District of Columbia
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint), Adobe, and Microsoft Teams/One Drive is beneficial
    • Bilingual is a plus, but not required
