    Overview

Leadership for Democracy and Social Justice (LDSJ) seeks proposals from qualified consultants/firms to provide support on the institute’s long term strategy. The selected consultant/firm will work closely with LDSJ staff to expand upon the institute’s Regional Organizers for Community Change (ROCC) Fellowship, and help envision the next phase of this work.

The ROCC Fellowship is a state-specific, sometimes regional fellowship, that brings together movement leaders across sectors to develop long-term strategy. It is designed to give activists and organizers an opportunity to hone their leadership skills, deepen their understanding of power and strategy, and expand their networks. The semester-long program provides an intensive cohort experience, providing fellows the opportunity to connect and build relationships, and collectively develop a shared analysis, long-term vision, and winning strategy for their state or region.

    Scope of Services

The consultant/firm will provide the following services:

    • Meet with at least 50 power building movement partners (staff from key organizations),
    • Conduct meetings with at least 100 alumni from LDSJ fellowship programs (with priority to Texas and Southern ROCCs),
    • Analyze learnings to provide a program design draft,
    • Assess pilot opportunities with the expansion of ROCC impact in mind.

    Please include:

    1. Consultant/Firm overview and relevant experience
    2. Team composition and qualifications
    3. Similar project examples
