EFTC is seeking to hire a full time experienced fundraiser and grant writer to work onsite at the School of Hope in Jocotenango. This position will focus on identifying potential major donors, foundations and grant making institutions.

The Grant Writer’s key responsibilities, as follows, are non-exhaustive and additional duties may be required and assigned.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Liaise closely with the Project Director and Management Team, on a regular basis, to develop and support Foundation initiatives that promote EFTC, the School of Hope and its work in Guatemala and the local community
- Compile and maintain a database of international and local donor organizations (international foundations, bilateral and multilateral agencies and private corporations offering donations in Latin America or Guatemala)
- Undertake independent research in finding alternative resources for long-term sustainability of the organization
- Organize or provide assistance in organizing any fundraising events for the organization
- Coordinate with local and international team members to develop fundraising campaigns throughout the year.
- Identify grant opportunities both nationally and internationally and write grant applications and fundraising proposals
- Identify grant opportunities, develop proposals and oversee the process with national and international grantmaking institutions.
- Promote the EFTC mission, vision and core value at all times!of Hope in Jocotenango. This position will focus on identifying potential major donors, foundations and grant making institutions.
Person Specification
Essentials:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
- At least three years of experience in fundraising or grant writing
- Fluency in both Spanish and English (Written and Oral)
- Excellent administration showing attention to detail and organizational skills
- High level of digital literacy
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience of database management and data evaluation
- Proactive and independent approach to the workload
- Commitment and belief in EFTC’s work, vision, and beliefs
