    ABOUT THE POSITION:

    Kesem seeks a creative problem solving, detail and process-oriented Manager of Data and Systems who can successfully manage integration of key business functions to Salesforce and support Kesem’s increasingly complex data and information technology needs. The Manager of Data and Systems will report to the Chief Financial Officer and work collaboratively across the organization to support an array of departmental objectives.The Manager of Data and Systems will manage the Data and Systems Coordinator.

    The Manager of Data and Systems is a critical role and an exciting opportunity to create and leverage cutting-edge practices and tools to advance Kesem’s mission. The Manager of Data and Systems will play an integral role in Kesem’s growth and impact.

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities: (% of Time)

    Systems and Administration Oversight, Optimization and Maintenance (50%)

    • Serve as System Administrator and provide oversight and optimization for organizational systems, including, but not limited to, Salesforce Administration (Sales Cloud, NPSP Cloud, and Community Cloud, Service Cloud), HubSpot Administration, FormAssembly Administration, Hive Administration (Project Management System) and Apsona Administration (Apsona for Salesforce, Apsona Dedupe and Match, Document and Mail Merge)
    • Serve as an internal point person for Salesforce database administration needs, including field creation, object manipulation, automations, deduping and merging, linking and maintaining records, data cleanup and troubleshooting system errors
    • Execute addition of key objects, campaigns and designations to Salesforce database
    • Oversee all points of information entry into the database through the configuration of all data integrations and strategic recommendations for streamlining data capture in alignment with overarching organizational strategy and data integrity best practice
    • Oversee and optimize the functionality of current integrations, including, but not limited to, Google Suite, Salesforce, Salesforce Communities, FormAssembly, HubSpot, Expensify, Bill.com, Celigo Integrator.io, NetSuite, CampSite and Zapier and future integration tools, in collaboration with the Data and Systems Coordinator
    • Perform regular security and performance checks to ensure that data remains secure and systems are not vulnerable to compromise
    • Address systems inquiries as processes are rolled out
    • Lead, coach and mentor the Data and Systems Coordinator, supporting their ongoing professional development and performance goals
    • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of business process automations with Salesforce Process Builder, Flow, Workflow and Apex. Convert all existing Process Builders and Workflows into Flows
    • Ensure the organization is in compliance with security and privacy laws governing the use of data and technology

    Systems Strategy and Implementation (50%)

    • Create and manage an overarching strategy for how Kesem uses its systems and technology to support its mission
    • Serve as project manager on all systems integrations, Work directly with project and department heads on defining business requirements and proposal evaluation for any new projects and systems integrations
      • Lead and provide strategic direction to cross-functional systems team members to gather business requirements, provide informational updates and test solutions to meet departmental needs
      • Manage all vendor relationships related to systems projects
      • Prepare test plan and scripts for system testing and functional testing, and implement user acceptance testing (UAT)
      • Responsible for all system documentation and post-implementation support requests
    • Manage relationships with organizational system partners and vendors and oversee calendar and budget of annual system contract renewals. Identify opportunities for cost savings
    • Develop, document, maintain, and enforce data processes and procedures designed to improve and maintain a high level of data quality and integrity, implemented through ongoing staff training and new employee onboarding
      • Create and implement Salesforce and systems training opportunities for all staff to increase efficiency and empower team members to utilize tools and systems available
      • Keep updated on latest system changes and enhancements and share with team members
      • Refine organizational processes, training and documentation related to all systems
    • Implement a data integrity strategy to meet the information needs across departments
    • Create a strategy for leveraging our Salesforce database to enable segmentation, analysis, and insights and to deploy effective targeting and audience creation for marketing communications and donor engagement
    • Explore AI, API and mobile access functionalities and how they can be used to increase organizational efficiency and enhance the constituent experience

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher
    • Three to five years of Salesforce Administrator experience
      • Salesforce experience including but not limited to field creation, object manipulation, deduping and merging, linking and maintaining records, creation and maintenance of business process automations with Salesforce Process Builder, Flow, Workflow and Apex
    • Familiarity with GA4 preferred
    • People Manager experience
    • Nonprofit experience preferred
    • Advanced team-building skills, including supporting and coaching direct reports, learning on the fly, priority setting and problem solving
    • Ability to recognize a business need and translate it into a systems solution
    • Strong data manipulation skills
    • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
    • Proven ability to work with diverse groups
    • Program development and project management experience, including experience working on large-scale projects from conception to completion
    • Highly organized, flexible and creative
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Strong technical skills

    Additional Information

    • The Manager of Data and Systems role is a full-time position.
    • The Manager of Data and Systems will work remotely from their home office. Location for the role is flexible.
    • The Manager of Data and Systems should expect to travel approximately two-four times annually, all within the United States, for internal meetings and events. All work-related travel expenses are covered by Kesem.

    Compensation

    • The minimum annual starting salary for this position is $76,000 - $94,000, and any salary amount above this would be based on relevant professional experience in a similar career level role. In addition, Kesem offers a benefits package for full-time employees, including employer-subsidized health benefits, employee-funded dental and vision benefits, employee-funded 403(b) retirement plan, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), a healthcare concierge service, telecommuting, paid time off (PTO), Short-Term Disability and parental leave offerings.
