    Description

    Do you want to use your storytelling skills to improve oral and overall health in our communities? Join Arcora Foundation and do mission-driven work as our next communications specialist! In this role, you will join our communications team to further our mission to bend the arc of oral health toward equity. Your engaging, timely, and reader-focused communications will help Arcora advance oral health and equity by partnering with communities to prevent oral disease and increase access to dental care across Washington state.

    • Analytics

    You have experience developing and implementing communications plans. Under the senior director of strategy, communications, and evaluation’s supervision, you’ll collaborate with Foundation team members to develop communications. You’ll engage priority audiences with Arcora through calls to action based on communications goals for each audience. You’ll help share who we are, what we do, why we do it, and who we work with.

    The pay range for this position in Western Washington varies between $52,140.00 – $72,930.00. Washington Dental Service and its affiliates, including Arcora Foundation, Delta Dental of Washington, and TriForza intends to offer the selected candidate a base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay will also be adjusted based on the candidate's geographic location.

    Content Development (50%)

    • Draft and publish blog and social media posts, newsletter articles, news releases, op-eds, and other content that highlights partners, staff, or the Foundation generally.
    • Develop and update content and visuals for programmatic print and digital materials, such as flyers, overviews, presentations, brochures, and educational materials.
    • Use culturally appropriate language and asset-based framing to engage diverse populations across the state.
    • Maintain our brand identity through brand and style guides, logo usage, preferred language, brand colors, fonts, etc.
    • Manage external vendor relationships and project execution for communication needs such as translations, print materials, graphic design, and website updates.

    Social and Digital Media Lead (30%)

    • Develop and post social media copy and visuals, maintain calendar and monitor engagement for multiple platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, and X; handle routine and ad hoc upkeep of social platforms.
    • Write content for, layout, edit, gather content for, and send newsletters and manage other email needs via Constant Contact.
    • Compile Foundation contact mailing lists from Dynamics CRM for integration with email marketing system in collaboration with Foundation operations team.
    • Maintain Arcora website and program microsites with routine updates to content, visuals, and data highlights.

    Visual Content Creation (15%)

    • Develop social media and website visuals.
    • Develop and update brochures, one sheets, and other printed materials. (For more complex or high-profile graphics, work with graphic design vendor.)
    • Develop and update visuals for PowerPoint presentations.

    Analytics (5%)

    • Routinely review data related to audience engagement with emails, newsletters, social media, and websites and identify ideas to increase engagement to support strategic communications plan.
    • Partner with strategic communications manager to improve SEO and performance on Arcora, DentistLink, and other programmatic websites, including SEO blog posts.

    Experience, skills, and education do you need to have to succeed in the position: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.

    • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) and 4 years proven track record in an office environment, and 4 years communications or social media experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Excellent writing and editing skills.
    • Proficiency with Planner, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Constant Contact, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe InDesign, WordPress, and similar applications and platforms.
    • Work independently or on a team with little supervision and assure timely follow-up on all issues.
