    We are seeking a Senior Program Officer to join the Arcora Foundation to further our efforts with communities. We are looking for someone with experience in developing and cultivating authentic relationships with diverse communities, specifically with Black, Indigenous, and People of Color who are disproportionately impacted by overall and oral health inequities. The position is part planner, part champion, requiring the ability to work with diverse stakeholders, ask critical questions, listen well to identify the best approaches with skill and enthusiasm. This role will work with key partners to plan and implement multiple streams of work within Arcora Foundation’s prevention and community engagement portfolio. This position reports to the Senior Program Manager - Prevention.

    The pay range for this position In Western Washington varies between $81,900 – $116,550, and for Eastern Washington varies between $67,470 - $96,015. Washington Dental Service and its affiliates, including Arcora Foundation, Delta Dental of Washington, and TriForza intends to offer the selected candidate a base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay will also be adjusted based on the candidate's geographic location.

    Leadership and Strategy

    • Collaborate on the development and execution of Arcora’s work plans and provide input into tracking of progress toward metrics and achievements. This includes implementing diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies and tools that advance organizational and team goals and priorities.
    • Provide staff support to Foundation Board and Foundation senior leadership.
    • Represent the Foundation to external audiences; prepare and deliver presentations as needed.

    Program Development and Management

    • Work with staff and external partners to plan and implement multiple streams of work within Arcora Foundation’s community engagement/partnership portfolio and find opportunities for cross-functional partnerships.
    • Manage 1 to 2 Local Impact Networks. In alignment with the Foundation strategy, foster partnerships, support participation, and ensure execution of LIN strategies to successfully reach Foundation and community goals.
    • Work with staff and external partners to identify and implement emerging and evidence-based approaches and tools (i.e. social marketing, policy, community health workers, etc.) and innovative interventions to reduce oral health disparities within communities.
    • Manage internal contracts and subcontracts, ensuring deliverables are met and budgets and reports are submitted on time.

    Community Engagement

    • Support outreach to community-based organizations that offer opportunities to further the Foundation’s mission.
    • Proactively identify and cultivate relationships and investment opportunities and provide thoughtful and relevant resources and support to address community needs.
    • Participate in community-based meetings, networks, and coalitions; facilitate community conversations, and help promote dialogue between partners.
    • Identify and build strong relationships with individuals, community leaders, and organizations that are key to Arcora Foundation’s success. Pursue collaboration opportunities with partner organizations.
    • Centers community by listening to what community members are saying and support them to achieve our shared goals.

    Experience, skills, and education: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.

    • Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) and minimum 5 five years of relevant work experience or Associate’s degree and minimum 7 years of relevant work experience related to building or influencing health systems, community services, and innovative health or social service solutions.is required.
    • Demonstrated ability to independently balance multiple priorities and successfully execute and complete numerous projects with little supervision.
    • Ability to explain one’s decision-making processes, and synthesize complex information into straightforward communication in written and oral presentations
    • Demonstrated ability to cultivate relationships with tact, and to work effectively and respectfully with politically, ideologically, culturally, and geographically diverse people and communities.
    • Demonstrated ability to apply diversity, equity, and inclusion successful practices.
    • Ability to work with individuals and organizations, at the local level to build support for identified program and policy goals.
    • Ability to identify intersections with other Foundation activities and leverage the knowledge and connections of other Foundation staff.

    • Experience leading programs or initiatives with and within communities.
