    DEVELOPMENT OPERATIONS COORDINATOR

    What You Will Do:

    Reporting to the Director of Development and External Relations, the Development Operations Coordinator is an exciting role to support the office operations and development administration of a thriving, fast-paced non-profit organization serving first-generation college students from low-income backgrounds. The Development Operations Coordinator will have the opportunity to work with our students, staff, leadership, and external vendors. The ideal candidate is someone who can manage multiple tasks and competing priorities with tact and a high attention to detail.

    The main areas of responsibility are development and fundraising, project management, office operations, administrative support, and customer service.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Development Operations Management – 40%

    • Help research new funders and sources of income
    • Manage donor relations – including thank you letters
    • Manage volunteer recruitment
    • Assistance with grant writing
    • Creation of event marketing pieces and coordination with vendors

    Administrative Support– 30%

    • Support the Executive Director of Development and External Relations and office leadership team with scheduling and administrative support (copies, meeting preparations, and follow-up)
    • Provide organizational and logistical support for office-wide events and activities, including scheduling, set-up, catering, communications, clean-up/breakdown, etc.
    • Provide organizational and logistical support for all-staff meetings as well as other standing meetings upon request

    Office Operations Management – 30%

    • Oversee the proper use, functionality and cleanliness of the Bottom Line office space and equipment
    • Ensure proper maintenance and availability of office furniture
    • Manage inventory and ordering of all office materials and supplies
    • Deliver best-in-class support to all members of the Bottom Line community by answering questions, directing them to the appropriate parties, and/or taking detailed messages
    • Accept and distribute packages and mail deliveries
    • Maintain relationships with the landlord, external vendors, and other facilities personnel

    Secondary Responsibilities:

    • Represent the Bottom Line brand in a positive light, and take actions to increase brand awareness throughout the community

    Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without advanced notice.

    Work Schedule:

    Monday – Friday, 9 am - 5 pm

    Expected Travel:

    10%

    Required:

    • At least 3 years of relevant work experience
    • Work authorization
    • Demonstrated commitment to Bottom Line’s mission, vision, and core values
    • Demonstrated comfortability with technology and ability to troubleshoot
    • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
    • Customer service orientation and approach, both in working with our students and staff
    • Strong attention to detail and project management skills
    • Ability to manage competing priorities and timelines
    • Demonstrated commitment to Bottom Line’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values

    Preferred:

    • Associate or bachelor’s degree, or progress toward a degree
