    Descripción

    The Arizona Democracy Resource Center (ADRC) is dedicated to empowering community

    members and encouraging civic participation. The Resource Center advocates for equitable

    representation for all Arizonans and works closely with community leaders to protect our

    democracy. We are committed to dismantling structural barriers to democratic participation,

    supporting community self-determination, and investing in local leadership.

    The Executive Assistant is part of the ADRC team and supports the day-to-day work of our Co-Executive Director(s) and team. This position will report directly to the Co-Executive Director(s).

    This is a hybrid position based in Arizona. All applicants should reside in Arizona or be willing to

    relocate to Arizona and make regular visits to our Phoenix office.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Providing administrative assistance, such as writing and editing e-mails, drafting memos, and preparing communications on the executive’s behalf
    • Maintaining comprehensive and accurate records
    • Performing minor accounting duties
    • Organizing meetings, including scheduling, sending reminders, and organizing catering when necessary
    • Answering phone calls
    • Welcoming visitors and identifying the purpose of their visit before directing them to the appropriate department
    • Managing the executive’s calendar, including making appointments and prioritizing the most sensitive matters
    • Assisting ADRC program directors with tasks as needed

    Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

    • 1 year of experience working as an executive assistant or similar experience
    • 1 year of experience working in a community-based nonprofit
    • Time management and ability to meet deadlines
    • Verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
    • Problem-solving and decision making
    • Proactivity and self-direction
    • Commitment to race and social justice work and community care
