    Desired location: Minnesota or DMV area (DC, Maryland, Virginia)

    We seek a Vice President of Program Delivery to join our team to lead the successful execution of all HOA transformation and resource distribution projects. This individual will be responsible for managing the Innovation (construction management) and project management teams, developing and implementing operational policies and procedures for the Program Delivery function. Reporting to the President, the VP of Program Delivery serves on the leadership team and plays a key role in overall organizational strategy and decision-making.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Executes and delivers defined organizational goals and objectives, and vision in keeping with HOA’s values
    2. Ensures programmatic excellence based on HOA’s Operating Principles.
    3. Develop and oversee Program Delivery operations, and processes to ensure excellence in executing and delivering HOA programs.
    4. Lead other large, cross-functional special projects or initiatives.
    5. Other duties as assigned.

    Details of Responsibilities

    1. Executes and delivers defined organizational goals and objectives, and vision in keeping with HOA’s values.
      1. As a member of the leadership team, this staff member will guide and engage in short and long-term strategic planning for initiatives in the scope of this role.
      2. Ensures alignment of decision-making, goal setting, and problem-solving for programs within the scope of this role as directed by Mission/Vision.
      3. Ensures the Program Delivery team supports HOA Organizational and Leadership Team priorities.
      4. Provides a clear link between organizational goals and objectives, team job descriptions, and individual roles and responsibilities.
    2. Ensures programmatic excellence based on HOA’s Operating Principles.
      1. Attract, develop, coach, and retain high-performance team members, empowering them to elevate their level of responsibility and performance.
      2. Provide leadership in the development of inter-team communications and cohesiveness, sustaining HOA’s values and supporting staff during organizational growth.
      3. Demonstrate consistent quality of finance and administration; communications and systems; recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve program goals. Ensure that key project outcomes are evaluated and leveraged for maximum community and organizational impact.
    3. Develop and oversee Program Delivery operations, and processes to ensure excellence in executing and delivering HOA transformation and resource distribution programs.
      1. Ensure collaboration, cross-training and process sharing occurs between two Program Delivery Teams (Verizon and Traditional).
      2. Lead the Innovation and Project Management functions and manage overall sponsor fulfillment and project execution. Innovation refers to building and construction management at Heart of America.
      3. Maintain and improve operational processes and best practices. Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
      4. Train and mentor staff on best practices and processes.
      5. Ensure all processes and tools (e.g. timing and action, salesforce, SmartSheets) are being used effectively to achieve results.
      6. Maintain and enhance dashboards to effectively track Program Delivery progress, identify risk and recommend mitigation plans, and monitor budget health of programs.
      7. Support regular (monthly/quarterly) reporting on KPI’s for monthly Business Review and quarterly Board meetings.
      8. Working closely with VP of HR/Administration, effectively track program demand and forecast staff capacity.
      9. Ensure staff assignments and utilization are maximized across the entire Program Delivery team (traditional and Verizon teams) to ensure successful project execution. Strategically work with HR to activate Temporary Employees during project peak times throughout the year.
      10. Assist in the development, and review of program budgets. Ensure budgets are being updated timely by the team. This includes accurate tracking of real-time and fair market value budgets.

    Skills and Knowledge

    • 15+ years’ program management experience
    • 10+ years’ experience within corporate philanthropy and/or nonprofits
    • Demonstrated leadership and supervision experience, particularly in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
    • Proven project management track record: can establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without close supervision
    • Proven record of managing program budgets including creating program budgets and delivering program results within budget
    • Experience with volunteer management and support
    • Experience building and establishing relationships with organization stakeholders
    • Event management or knowledge of building/construction industries is strongly preferred

    • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
    • Excellent verbal and written skills
    • Ability to get along well with diverse personalities and interact with people at different levels within an organization with tact, flexibility and discretion
    • Ability to conduct presentations in small and large group settings
    • Willingness to work flexible hours, including some weekend work
    • Willingness to travel (significant travel is required at times 30%);
    • Technologically proficient (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc…)
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Valid driver’s license and the ability to drive an SUV or mini van.
