    Descripción

Tell the Story. Shift the Narrative. Build the Future.

Homestead Community Land Trust advances land-based housing justice by removing land from the speculative market and placing it into permanent community stewardship. We create access to permanently affordable homeownership for lower-income households and ensure that homes remain affordable for future buyers, keeping the benefits of homeownership rooted in community. Our work interrupts displacement, builds intergenerational wealth, addresses harms of discrimination and expands equity in the housing economy.

This role is for someone who thinks in reels, quotes, edits, and story arcs. Someone who listens deeply, films respectfully, and uses video and social platforms to spotlight stories to build support for our work.

We’re looking for a creative producer—part videographer, part social media storyteller, and part community amplifier. Bonus points if you also bring some PR instincts or a knack for elevating stories in earned media.

    What You’ll Do

      • Create short, engaging videos that highlight homeowners, partners, and community members
      • Capture live events and produce content for social media, our website, and campaigns
      • Edit, remix, and repackage existing footage and interviews into fresh new formats
      • Manage our social media channels and use analytics to guide what we post next
      • Collaborate with our Development team on storytelling for fundraising
      • Collaborate with the Housing team to bring community engagement stories to life
      • Write the occasional blog post, newsletter feature, or press pitch that complements the visual content
      • Work closely with a graphic designer to ensure visuals are cohesive and on-brand

You’re a Great Fit If You:

      • Love interviewing people and making them feel comfortable on camera
      • Know how to shoot and edit great video with minimal equipment
      • Are fluent in social media trends and storytelling strategies
      • Are energized by mission-driven work and know how to center community voices
      • Understand that communications isn’t just about content—it’s about building trust and changing narratives
      • Have lived experience in communities historically excluded from homeownership, or a deep understanding of housing justice and racial equity
      • Have at least 3 years of experience making content (even if it wasn’t your job title)
      • Are organized, deadline-savvy, and flexible

    Bonus skills (but not required):

      • Experience pitching stories to media or writing press releases
      • Fluent in more than one language spoken in South King County

    Compensation + Benefits

      • $90,000 annual salary
      • Full health, vision, and dental insurance
      • 403(b) with 4% match
      • Paid time off + paid professional development
      • Internet and transportation stipends
      • A team that values humor, collaboration, and purpose
