Fifth Grade History Teacher
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Allen-Stevenson School, in New York City, seeks a Fifth Grade Advisor and History Teacher beginning in August 2025. The successful candidate has a minimum of three years teaching in a related grade and a master’s degree in education. The successful candidate has a strong background and knowledge of the fifth-grade disciplines, particularly history; works to build an inclusive classroom and advisory; integrates technology; and demonstrates high energy and creativity. An understanding and appreciation of how boys learn best, especially the role that personal connection plays, is essential.
This full-time position is eligible for a complete benefits package. Compensation: $80,000-$100,000commensurate with education and experience.
Reports to: Head of Upper Division
Education: Master's degree preferred
Experience: 3 years teaching at the elementary level
