    Description:

    The Operations Coordinator for Student Affairs supports the functions, programs, and initiatives of the Office of Student Affairs by managing department programmatic marketing efforts, assisting with the execution of student services, and providing operational and administrative support. The coordinator reports to the Associate Director of Student Affairs. This is a Monday-Friday position with occasional week-night or weekend work.

    The annual salary range for this role is $55,000 -58,500.

    Role Responsibilities:

    • Manage front office operations for Student Affairs, duties include responding to emails and in person
    • inquiries, and organizing and tracking office inventory.
    • Hire, train, and supervise office work-study students.
    • Oversee reservations for the Student Multipurpose Room, Morse Student Lounge, lobby tabling, multimedia equipment, supplies, and other departmental resources.
    • Assist the Associate Director of Student Affairs with the execution of departmental programs, such as off-campus student services, educational and social programs, and student organization events.
    • Manage departmental marketing initiatives including but not limited to the management of departmental social media, the production of the weekly student digital newsletters, and represent Student Development at the institutional e-communications meetings.
    • Manage student services and amenities, including off-campus housing and neighborhood resources, discount movie pass program, ticket distributions for free opportunities and performances, and developing student discounts.
    • Serve on the Student Engagement Team, a multi-departmental working group that coordinates the scheduling and execution of programs, events, and marketing.
    • Assist with the execution of New Student Orientation and Family Orientation, including management of specified operational processes, serve as first point of contact for questions and inquiries from new students and families, and updating the orientation mobile application annually.
    • Participate in the annual student leadership selection process.
    • Monitor and maintain the condition of departmental spaces, coordinating with facilities staff to address maintenance issues, ensure cleanliness and support operational needs of the Student Affairs office.
    • Coordinate the administration of the Barbara H. Stark endowed student ticket fund.
    • Provide administrative support to the Associate Dean of Student Development.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • 1-2 years of work experience preferably in student affairs, student activities, or higher education environments.
    • Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, organizational, and project management skills.
    • Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple tasks.
    • Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail in an active and fast-paced office environment.
    • Ability to demonstrate flexibility to changing processes and timelines.
    • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook and familiarity with social media platforms and design programs.
    • Experience supervising student staff is a plus.
    • Ability to work with a wide range of constituencies (staff, students, faculty, and administrators) with diplomacy, tact, and customer service.
    • Understanding of the values and mission of The Juilliard School.
