Attorney- Legal Assistance to Medical Patients

We are looking for a generalist attorney to provide legal representation to referred hospital patients in a number of areas including the following: special education and guardianship, housing and entitlements (SSI/SSDI, food stamps, TANF and GA), as well as healthcare access (Medicaid and Medicare denials). Additionally, LAMP staff provide outreach and education to hospital staff and to families. The project is based out of our Edison office as well as office space at several hospitals in NJ.

We will consider individuals with various levels of relevant legal experience. An ideal candidate would have legal experience on one or more of the areas listed above. Successful candidates will have the ability to work and communicate effectively with low-income clients. Training is offered to staff especially in new substantive legal areas and regular case review meetings are held in Edison.
