    LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM MANAGER

    The Laboratory to Combat Human Trafficking (LCHT) is seeking a dedicated Manager to support the Leadership Development Program for the Laboratory to Combat Human Trafficking.

    ABOUT LABORATORY TO COMBAT HUMAN TRAFFICKING (LCHT)

    LCHT is a leader in Colorado’s anti-trafficking movement. Since 2005, we have trained over 80,000 professionals and community members; conducted research to drive action and inform policy change; operated the statewide 24/7 human trafficking hotline; and developed over 200 future human rights leaders.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    This position works under the general supervision of the Education and Partnerships Director to support and lead one of LCHT’s signature programs; this position will also collaborate with LCHT’s Training and Education Program to support broader educational initiatives and build partnerships, including tabling opportunities to promote LCHT.

    LCHT’s Leadership Development Program (LDP) equips future human rights leaders with skills in advocacy, organizational leadership, research, and community engagement. Participants gain practical experience, mentorship, and career-building opportunities. Alumni have gone on to impactful roles in anti-trafficking, immigration advocacy, social work, criminal justice, victim services,policy reform, and more.

    The Leadership Development Program Manager oversees three LDP program cohorts per year, ensuring high-quality training, mentorship, and participant support. This role facilitates seminar sessions, delivering core program content while guiding participants in project-based learning and leadership development. The Manager is responsible for tracking participant progress, setting individualized goals, and customizing program hours to align with participant needs and staff mentorship opportunities. This position will also be responsible for aligning annual program goals with the 3-year strategic plan for this program.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Leadership Development Program Manager is responsible for the following:

    Program Administration

    • Work in coordination with other LCHT staff to support programs as guided by the LCHT Leadership, assisting in providing support for grant opportunities of the program
    • Recruit, announce and determine criteria for 2 cohorts in 2025 (3 cohorts in 2026), ~6 per cohort (define recruitment strategies – geographies, demographics, application process and selection method); supervise and mentor program participants, setting individualized goals, and ensuring alignment with program outcomes
    • Develop meaningful connections between LDP participants and LCHT staff and programs during their engagement
    • Maintain and refine program policies, onboarding processes, and evaluation metrics

    Curriculum Review and Content Delivery

    • Design, refine, and facilitate seminar sessions and workshops on leadership, advocacy, and human rights topics. Review current curriculum and determine what needs updating or development by incorporating LCHT survey results, evaluation recommendations to guide any curriculum changes including methods of learning i.e. workshops, training session, mentorships and collaboration. Clearly define the leadership framework (i.e., Servant Leadership model) and skills that program participants gain. Regularly assess and adapt curriculum based on participant feedback, learning outcomes, and evolving sector needs
    • Partner with subject matter experts to co-facilitate sessions on anti-trafficking, intersecting social justice movements, and sustainable leadership in human rights
    • Validate leadership capabilities by setting measurable goals to increase participant confidence and retention rates and assess unique delivery approaches to refresh Program
    • Support LCHT’s Training and Education Program by delivering human trafficking community trainings and representing LCHT at events (i.e., tabling)

    Explore Program Expansion and Strategic Partnerships

    • Develop an alumni engagement plan Identify opportunities to expand LDP into new sectors. Revisit MSU Denver's Hospitality
    • Program's Human Trafficking Awareness certificate and update as needed
    • Develop recommendations for programmatic expansion to address emerging needs and align with LCHT’s strategic vision

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education and Experience

    • Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Sciences, Human Rights, Public Health, Education, Nonprofit Management, Leadership Studies) OR equivalent experience in leadership, training, or program management
    • 5–7 years of experience in leadership development, education, training facilitation, program management
    • Experience in curriculum development, facilitation, and participant mentorship
    • Knowledge of anti-trafficking, social justice, and other human rights related topics

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Demonstrated project management skills, personnel and budgets – Essential for overseeing program implementation and resource allocation
    • Exemplary communication (writing and public speaking) skills, including teaching/training settings – Key for delivering training and engaging diverse audiences
    • Proactive and solution-focused response to issues that arise – Vital for adapting to challenges in a fast-paced non-profit environment
    • Strong interpersonal skills: including trust building, communication, listening, and personal engagement/networking – Crucial for mentoring and collaborating with participants and teams
    • Superior prioritizing skills – Necessary for balancing program demands and aligning with LCHT’s mission
    • Strong passion for leadership development and mentorship, is interested in continuing to learn as the fields of leadership development and adult education evolve
    • Experience managing learners, tracking progress, and supporting participant success.
    • Ability to cultivate partnerships and collaborate across disciplines
    • Commitment to equity-centered, trauma-informed leadership development
    • Preferred: Experience using CRM or database systems (e.g., Salesforce)

    • Hybrid work schedule, with both in-office and work at home
    • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
