Maintenance and Grounds Manager

Preservation Virginia is seeking a Maintenance and Grounds Manager to assist with operations across several museum sites owned and operated by Preservation Virginia.

The grounds and maintenance manager will be responsible for:

• Performing a variety of repairs and upkeep tasks relating to building infrastructure and landscape management.
• Overseeing HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical Systems.
• Managing security, fire protection, and grounds maintenance contracts.
• Ensuring the regular maintenance of staff vehicles and grounds equipment.
• Provide general staff support including occasionally assisting with historic preservation and curatorial projects.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to commute to the Richmond area or the Williamsburg/Surry County area.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull object(s), heavy materials and equipment.
• Valid Driver’s License; ability to provide personal transportation and operate company vehicles and trailers.
• Ability to travel and work throughout the state of Virginia.
• Perform manual labor in outdoor and indoor environments year-round.
• Safely work from ladders and scaffolding.
• Effectively and safely operate a variety of trade tools and equipment.
• Previous maintenance or trade experience preferred.

This is a full-time position with benefits including medical, dental, paid holidays and vacation.

Salary: $38,000-$40,000 per year
