    The Chicago Parks Foundation (CPF) seeks a Social Media Coordinator to support our communications operations.

    This is a hybrid, part-time position at 10 hours per week. The role reports to the Director of Communications and Engagement and will work collectively with the entire CPF team.

    CPF is the 501c3 partner of the Chicago parks. We have incredible park stories to tell, and we want you to help us tell them! This role will execute a combination of delegated and original content creation, contribute to social media strategy, and help expand our audience reach.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with the Director of Communications to generate high-quality CPF content across our social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, as well as our Seeing Green Blog
    • Assist with developing CPF social media strategy in alignment with our larger communications plan
    • Plan and schedule content utilizing a shared editorial calendar to maintain constant online presence
    • Analyze performance metrics to provide insights on growth opportunities
    • Document CPF programming/events and work with other CPF team members to collect content
    • Monitor community interactions and respond to comments/messages
    • Ensure brand/message consistency across platforms
    • Actively stay informed of industry trends to optimize content and maximize engagement
    • May assist at occasional CPF events/programs and with other duties as assigned

    Requirements

    • Proficiency in social media platforms management and engagement
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience concepting and creating original content
    • Experience with Squarespace, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite preferred
    • Photography/videography and photo/video editing skills preferred
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively and to manage time effectively
    • Availability during Monday-Friday 9am-5pm working hours
    • You’re self-motivated, proactive, creative, detail-oriented and energetic!
