    SkillUp Coalition seeks a dynamic, adaptable, highly organized, and detail-oriented Grants Manager to join our vibrant, growing, technology-driven organization. The Grants Manager will be responsible for managing grants post-award and supporting the research, preparation, and submission of grant proposals to government agencies, foundations, and corporations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of grant writing principles, skills in project management, experience managing a variety of grants, and a passion for our mission of providing high-opportunity employment for all. This role reports to the Director of Grants Strategy and will collaborate closely with staff across all departments.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Grant Research and Identification

    • Analyze grant guidelines and eligibility criteria to identify opportunities that align with the organization's mission and programs.

    Funder Research

    • Conduct prospect research and prepare written funder profiles.

    Proposal Development

    • Support the development of compelling grant proposals, including narratives, budgets, and supporting documentation.
    • Manage grant application timelines, deadlines, and submission processes. Track the status of submitted grant proposals and maintain communication with funders.
    • Ensure proposals are well-written, accurate, and adhere to all grantmaker requirements.

    Award Management

    • Manage the entire grant award cycle, including monitoring, compliance, reporting, and stakeholder management.
    • Ensure grant-funded projects are implemented in alignment with grant terms and maintain accurate records of all grant-related activities.
    • Maintain and provide reporting data for all grants and integrate program data into proposals, reports, and other funding materials.
    • Prepare and submit timely progress reports to funders, including performance metrics and financial data.
    • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting on grant-funded projects.
    • Support maintaining relationships with funders.

    Fundraising Operations

    • Maintain an organized system for tracking grant projects and prospects, and manage the grants calendar in partnership with the Director of Grants Strategy.
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring smooth collaboration between teams and meeting important deadlines.
    • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders on grant opportunities and progress.
    • Maintain up-to-date contact and pipeline records in CRM, and keep files and project management systems organized.
    • Support as needed to coordinate, schedule, and prepare for meetings, and proofread funding documents as needed.
    • Prepare decks as needed for fundraising meetings.

    Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of experience in grant writing and management
    • Project management expertise to oversee grant-funded projects and ensure timely deliverables
    • Excellent research and writing skills
    • Knowledge of grant compliance regulations and reporting requirements
    • Ability to meet multiple, concurrent deadlines under pressure
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work appropriately and adapt easily to changing priorities.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Commitment to SkillUp’s mission and values
    • Proficient in Google Suites, MS Office Suite, and Excel (experience using Asana and CRM software is a plus)
    • Experience in workforce development is a plus

      • We currently pay 95% of your medical, dental, and vision coverage and 75% of the premium for your spouse and dependents. If you choose not to elect benefits you may receive an opt-out stipend of $2,000.
    • Retirement:
      • We have a 401k Program with company matching. We match 100% of employee contributions up to the first 3% of pay.
      • Then 50% of employee contributions on the next 2% of pay.
    • Paid Time Off: We value work-life balance and encourage our team members to take time off.
      • 4 weeks/20 Paid PTO days (25 PTO days after reaching the 3-year mark).
      • Two weeks of company shutdown during the week of July 4th and between Christmas and New Year’s.
      • All Federal Holidays.
