    About the Position

We seek a passionate and knowledgeable Spanish Instructor to join our team. Our ideal candidate can speak and write fluently in Spanish and can help the YPI team and community partners speak and write Spanish to better connect with the youth and families we serve, build their workplace Spanish vocabulary and conversational skills while learning with pictures, native pronunciations, readings, and some quizzes. You will develop a well-rounded curriculum that enables the YPI team and community participants to read, write, and speak in Spanish to provide services and programming. You will ensure cultural studies are integrated throughout the series to give participants perspective on the local history of Spanish-speaking populations in RI and Southern New England.

How to Apply and Interview Process:

    • Please email your cover letter and résumé to careers@youthprideri.org with the subject line: “[Your Name] YPI Spanish Instructor Position.”
    • Only resumes with cover letters will be considered
    • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, with an anticipated start date in late October 2024.

    The interview process:

    • The interview process for this role consists of one fifteen-minute screening call. During this call, you will be asked basic questions about your resume and cover letter, and the applicant will have the opportunity to ask questions about the role. If selected, a team member will contact the applicant, and they will move on and schedule a one-hour in-person interview.
    • After a successful interview, we will ask for three professional and two personal references. Please provide each reference's full name, email address, brief explainer of your relationship with you, and cell phone number.
    • If the applicant’s references come back favorable, a team member will contact the applicant with an offer letter and request to fill out a background check.
