Since 1986, the Dallas ISD ACP program has prepared thousands of teachers for the school district. Many have become school leaders in Dallas ISD and other school districts. Through a continuous-improvement process, the Dallas ISD Alternative Certification Program remains one of the top educator preparation programs in the state. The Dallas ISD-ACP has several advantages over other alternative certification programs:
- Intensive Summer Training
- Knowledgeable ACP Coordinator
- Dallas ISD New Teacher Support
- Collaborate with TWU for graduate coursework
- Access to four scholarship programs valued at $3,000.00
- Approved site for:
- Veterans Administration
- Troops to Teachers
- College Access Loan
- Texas Workforce Commission
- Lower program fees than other area programs
