    Since 1986, the Dallas ISD ACP program has prepared thousands of teachers for the school district. Many have become school leaders in Dallas ISD and other school districts. Through a continuous-improvement process, the Dallas ISD Alternative Certification Program remains one of the top educator preparation programs in the state. The Dallas ISD-ACP has several advantages over other alternative certification programs:

    • Intensive Summer Training
    • Knowledgeable ACP Coordinator
    • Dallas ISD New Teacher Support
    • Collaborate with TWU for graduate coursework
    • Access to four scholarship programs valued at $3,000.00
    • Approved site for:
      • Veterans Administration
      • Troops to Teachers
      • College Access Loan
      • Texas Workforce Commission
    • Lower program fees than other area programs
