Service Success Coach multiple vacancies (Administrative Officer III - Grade 15): this CONTRACTUAL position is a dedicated and compassionate coach responsible for advocating for as well as overseeing the holistic professional and personal development of Maryland Corps/Service Year Option and Maryland Climate Corps Members through a 9 month program period.
The role involves a substantial amount of coaching and guidance to members, primarily conducted through regular bi-weekly check-ins with program participants via video calls and in-person visits. In addition, Service Success Coaches are responsible for in-person support at Professional Development trainings at least twice a month at locations throughout the state of Maryland. Training days may require extended hours and additional responsibilities (e.g. serving as a Transportation Captain).
Service Success Coaches must possess the ability to form meaningful, trust-based relationships with Members while also supporting accountability for program elements and ensuring Member success in the program. Service Success COaches can expect complementary administrative duties (e.g. reminding members of upcoming events, documenting interactions and following up on outstanding items to be a regular part of their position.) Coaches guide Members through accomplishments and challenges in workplace environments as well as navigate or provide resources for needs-based personal matters.
Hourly salary range: $25.64 -$33.24/hourly with limited, subsidized State of MD health benefits. Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate and a minimum of 3 years administrative staff or professional work experience required (Note: Substitutions of 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to 2 years of the required exp, possession of a Bachelor’s degree from a college or university for the required exp or U.S. Armed forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included regular use of independent judgment and analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year-for-year basis for the required experience). This position is a hybrid position and can be performed anywhere in Maryland or nearby jurisdictions; however it has a two day a week in office requirement. Each employee must be in the office in Annapolis, MD on Mondays. They may choose to be in Annapolis or Silver Spring one additional day per week.
In addition, at least two days per month, the position will be onsite at required professional development locations across the state. These days may require an extended day.
