Grassroots Comedy seeks an Executive Director (ED) to lead our organization in managing and expanding its impact, influence, and operational capacity. This individual will manage high-level decision-making, team recruitment, partnership management, business development, fundraising, financial oversight, and team cohesion. As the face of Grassroots Comedy, the Executive Director will represent the organization in interviews, at events, and in the media, building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across the comedy, nonprofit, and broader communities. This position is an exciting opportunity to run a non-profit organization and play a crucial role in its direction and growth. The ED will play a critical role in the ongoing evolution of Grassroots Comedy- a one of a kind organization at the intersection of comedy and advocacy - at a time when society needs it most.

While Grassroots Comedy is still a young non-profit and does not yet have the capacity to offer a benefits package, hours are extremely flexible, the culture is laid back and creative, and as the ED, you would have the ability to shape the direction and culture of the organization.
Furthermore, this is an excellent opportunity to liaise with professionals in the non-profit / humanitarian / social justice industry, as well as the comedy industry.
