Part-time Social Media Content Creator

Mixed Change is a boutique communications agency with a focus on social justice oriented and non-profit clients in the United States, sometimes also serving BIPOC/LGBTQ+ owned small business clients. We are seeking a part-time (hourly, project-based) social media content creator who has experience and skill in creating catchy reels, short videos, and static content for a variety of clients.

Requirements:

• Skilled in social media content creation including:
  • copywriting for captions
  • developing brand voice
  • graphic design using Canva or other similar development platforms
  • developing customized look & feel mood boards and social media brand identities
  • conceptualizing and planning social media content aimed at meeting client goals
  • developing, shooting, and editing reels or editing footage provided by client
  • comfort in stepping outside the box to create interesting content that encourages engagement and reactions
  • sophistication with social justice topics or willingness to research to understand concepts, issues, and appropriate language use and content boundaries
• Ability to meet deadlines and communicate effectively and respectfully with team and manager
• Willingness to meet virtually and respond to emails in a timely manner
• Creative and aesthetic mindset, ability to bring your own creativity to the projects at hand
• Interest in social justice issues and contributing to storytelling for people from marginalized and historically excluded communities
